yes sir major rebuild on its way. I have to say I really like Alonso we could have the most dynamic MLB crew in football.

Yeah buddy!! Kiko and Kendricks….Man, if we do what we can in FA to get secondary players and an OLB - this defense will be very dangerous.

I'm fine with McCoy being shown the door. I watched Sproles far outperform McCoy several times last year in the same situations. McCoy has lost a step and seemed to pickup the attitude djax left.

THAT SAID, I do not like that Chip seems find cutting guys without having proven replacements already on the team. In college that might be fine. But in the pros, it works out FAR better when guys can learn and mentor under more proven vets. They develop much faster this way. McCoy talked early on about how Westbrook helped him be patient and use his blockers. Do you remember how easily McCoy use to go down? I much prefer a system where players are mentored and then brought in to take over. I'm not a fan of just cutting them and creating a hole for someone to fill an develop on their own. The learning process just takes longer and the team suffers for it, imho.

This is an absolute steal. Shady for Kiko, and we save almost $11 million. With that, we could sign a rb for much cheaper (CJ Spiller?), plus a starting S (Rahim Moore). On top of that, we can now cut Demeco to same $6.9 million. So if someone offered you Kiko Alonso, CJ Spiller, Rahim Moore, and $6.9 Mil in cap space for Shady, who wouldn't take that?

Alonso was a beast in 2013 for the Bills and he's now 100% and ready to go. I absolutely love this trade. We will have tons to play with in free agency or to lock up our top notch young guys. One of the best RB drafts in years ... we can snag one early if we fill our DB needs in free agency.

Didn't we try to trade for Spiller last year? I would not be surprised if Spiller signs here. Getting Spiller in space in this type of offense could be flat out dangerous. RBs are very devalued and Spiller shouldn't command much. I can see us signing Spiller and drafting a future RB.
Yep, we did. We could also draft Josh Robinson in the 4th-5th--Sproles-like pairing of thickness and elusiveness. That would make a nice foursome--Spiller, Sproles, Polk, and Robinson.

Haven't seen much Josh Robinson…I'll have to watch some film. I'd love to target Ameer Abdullah in the 3rd. I think he's a great fit in our zone scheme and he's a Chip Kelly type of guy.

I can see why the Bills did it as they had a good D last season even without Alonso and they have Rex Ryan this year who's a Defensive minded guy who can get the most out of their Defensive players. He's also a guy who wants to the run the ball all game and Shady's better than anything they had. A healthy Alonso and Kendricks in the middle for us though could be a special duo for the next 4-5 years if we can keep em'.

6'3" and right around 240 lbs. Nice length and quickness. Can't wait to see him out there!

He was Luke Kuechly like his rookie year prior to his injury.

Watched a lot of MSU this year, since they were televised as much as Bama was. Very similar to Sproles in build and utility and a high class guy. Not a 3-down back by any means, but good for 10+ touches a game.

Spiller 15
Sproles 10
Robinson 10
Polk 10

I'd like Abdullah in the 3rd too--"or", not too. I'm thinking the 3rd round should be best available OL, even if we sign and Franklin or Wisniewski (sp?).

I just watched a bunch of videos on him. That's exactly who he reminds me of!

Playing alongside Alonso should allow Davis to use Kendricks more as a pass rusher. It's a great move all around for the D.

Also means Smith is a full time OLB again. Sure would be nice to see Smith step up and grab the job opposite Barwin.

He's definitely had his issues with fumbling, but he's improved each year. He's one helluva hard worker and has his focus on securing that ball. He has elite lateral explosiveness, great vision and burst through the hole, very good receiver out the backfield, and a willing pass protector. Runs much tougher than his size indicates as well -- he doesn't fall down when someone breathes on them like McCoy. Ameer's also one of the hardest working players in this draft class, and someone who fits the mold of the new Chip Kelly culture.

Agreed. Abdullah is one of those Chip type of guys and interviews off the charts. I heard an interview of him on the Jim Rome show last November, comes from a family of 8 siblings, all of them are doctors/lawyers or hold advanced degrees and he is considered the "failure" of the family among his siblings because he plays football. LOL

I could see him in an Eagles uni next year. Solid player.
