Stomping the shit out of OU in nice weather is a whole lot different than playing a team like Texas in the freezing cold.

do the Longhorns have a lot of Canadians?

I'm thinking (and granted, sometimes that is not a good thing):

UPSET SATURDAY! maybe...

started off early with Bowling Green upsetting NIU. Now, could the roll keep on rolling? If so, then look for OU to upset OkieSt, and Texas to upset Baylor! Among the other games, whatever those are. :-)

Also, anyone watching Gameday? Ole whatshisname, the former Georgia DE, who I generally like over the other idiots, keeps calling Art Briles "Art Broyles". Sounds like old football coaches I used to know, never could get guys names right.

Did Bowling Green just punch a Cotton Bowl invite for the Horns??

I think they go to the Cotton Bowl win or lose now based on likely results elsewhere.

If Texas loses, I cannot see the Sugar bowl passing up an 11-1 Baylor with the impending long term partnership of the Big 12/SEC. It would be a complete dick move and a horrible way for the partnership to start.

OU wont go. They went last year no matter what happens with them.

If OSU wins, they go to the Fiesta.
So, the only scenario would be if OSU lost and the Cotton Bowl picking a 2-loss OSU over a Texas team that hasn't played there in a long time. That is unlikely.

And if Texas wins they would not be high enough to get an at-large so they go to Cotton anyway.

Thank You Bowling Green. It has been a while since Texas played in January and it seems almost set now.

Of course, you never know with back alley bowl sleazeballs......nothing is certain....

I think Baylor should get an at-large BCS bid, but I'll believe it only when I see it.

It is still easy for them to be passed over.

OSU could get the at-large bid if they lose as well but it's the same scenario.

yeah, Art is Frank's son, or grandson, lol. I remember DKR battling Frank's pigs when I was a kid. He was the enemy. Kind of funny, so is Art Broyles.

AFA I can tell Art Briles and Frank Broyles are not related, unless it's in a joke.

Regardless

That unexpected Bowling Green win really helped the Horns chances for a better bowl.

They can now lose and still go to the Cotton Bowl. That is huge for potential recruiting.

Being stuck out in Phoenix does nothing.....

Texas can still ultimately end up out there, but the odds are considerably favoring a cotton bowl now.

Stomping the shit out of OU in nice weather is a whole lot different than playing a team like Texas in the freezing cold. Bears will make too many mistakes with everything on the line. Every Horns fan should be pulling for Oklahoma to come through too.

I've already puked twice in my mouth today for this. Damn you Mack Brown for forcing us to root for the Sooners!!!!!!

Coldest day on record for this day in Waco. Balmy compared to here though.

It's a big sports day for the Longhorns and it has started right so far. The #1 ranked Lady Longhorn Volleyball team has defeated the gaggies 3-1. It's the 2nd year in a row for our Ladies eliminating the gaggies from the playoffs.
The BBall team is playing at Temple and it's OT. Temple ahead by 1 with 25 seconds to go.

A shocker developing in Temple. Lambert missed 2 FTs with 15 seconds to go. Texas fouls immediately after the RB and Temple only hits 1 FT to go up 80-78 with 12 to go. Felix hits a 3-pointer to put Texas up 81-80 with seconds to go and Texas holds on for the win!
