Oklahoma debuted at No. 1 in the BCS last week, but this week, Missouri became the league's frontrunner. The Tigers don't have the peachy spot in the rankings the Sooners had, and face an immediate major test next week with a game at Nebraska.

Missouri looked the part of national title contender on Saturday night, but they had a lot of motivation and one of the best crowds at Faurot Field in recent history behind them. They'll have to stay consistent and win that game in Lincoln next week to land in the BCS. If they gets past the Huskers, the Tigers will still need some help to get into the national championship.

Like any big game Nebraska plays this year, fans of any team in the conference will probably rally behind the Tigers. The truth remains: Nebraska winning the Big 12 title and snatching a BCS bowl bid would be an awful scenario for the league.

The other obvious big news of the week on the bowl front is Baylor. The Bears locked in a berth over the weekend, and have a chance to move further up the ladder with a few wins in the final month of the season.

Seriously I could see them losing their last 3 conference games. And sadly that means that every team in conference would have had their way with Texas except Nebraska and TT.. spurned down by the conference slut.
