Let me just say this.........if we win tonight as I am expecting/hoping, we could give ourselves a huge advantage by going on the road and beating Kansas State on Feb 2nd. Regardless of what happens against A&M, we could basically knock Kansas State out of the tournament hunt and place ourselves squarely in position with that game.

My hope is that as the 2nd half of conference play rolls around, the guys will start to feel the sense of urgency............aka "we need to win every game we play from here on out"..........and hopefully they will give 100% effort in every game coming down the stretch.

Against Texas Tech, we did not give 100% effort............and that is the reason we are not 4-2 and in 3rd place in the Big 12 right now.

What we need from the games listed above........

Texas at Texas A&M.........meh, really doesn't matter. Both of these teams should make the tourney, and they aren't going to be in our way.

Baylor at Oklahoma........now this is a game that could help us out a lot. Oklahoma is not making the tournament this year........they just aren't good enough. But Oklahoma upsetting Baylor this week could cripple Baylor, and they are a team that we may be competing against for that 5th/6th spot in the Big 12 heading into late February...

Iowa State at Colorado..........this one could help as well. Iowa State is done for..........they aren't dancing this year. But, if they can knock off Colorado, they could help us out as the Buffs are another one of those teams we may be competing against.

Kansas at Texas Tech............again, meh..............hopefully if anything Kansas destroys them and comes to Lincoln a little overconfident. But let's be honest, the Jayhawks are well aware that Nebraska is no joke this year, and they will come ready to play at the Bob. Kansas at Tech has zero impact on us really....
