End Results - 4 Wins 1 loss
Alex's play has been the definition of meh......he has been along for the ride of a great defensive performance rather than driving the bus. While defenses may win championships, you have to have some sort of offense to at least give your defense a break. We will need better offensive production from our QB going forward if we really expect to take the next step of a contender.

In the end all that counts is 4-1 so keep on game managing CDC.

you know CDC predetermines throws on occasion. many of his "checkdowns" are a result of that

DH wanted to hit our big play guy with a pass . lots of qbs want that

i think if he set himself properly he could have delivered a better pass

and seeing as sims has turned into clifford franklin why throw it to him

The kid is great. We should not forget the other guys are playing just as well. I'd like to hear the others get praise too. Sweat has been a beast.

There's a fine line between being cocky and confident. I remember Chase saying before the draft "I know I'm the best player in this draft." I guess it takes both to be a super star as Ali proved in boxing. Yes, our entire D should get more praise and not just one individual because this is a team sport.

Do you realize how many 1st round picks we have on our DL? Young, Payne, Allen, Sweat, and don't forget Kerrigan. That is the definition of abundance of wealth. Good problem to have.

Now if we could just repeat all of this on the offensive side of the ball we would be hard to guard.

I don't disagree far as the meh goes. But Skins QBing has been meh or worse throughout the entire Snyder era., With the exception of a season here (Brad Johnson's 1999 season) or a season there (Griffin's rookie year) and neither of them could replicate it. And the 2 or 3 seasons of gaudy Kirk Cousins play that earned him several places in the Skins team record book, but didn't produce much in the big win's dept.

Granted Smith has the fortune of playing with a defense that's better than any of those QBs had and while he only played about 2/3 of his initial season. The fact that he's into his 2nd season (and by 2nd season I mean season's in which he's playing, not simply on the roster) and is 4 n 1 is something that, well, stands out to me.

I had a really weird ass dream last night. And not to get into some of the weirdness. The shit that relates to the Skins went something like this.

Dan Snyder was Pharaoh and all us Skins fans were the Hebrews under his yoke. Us Skins fan had all been praying for someone to deliver us from Pharaoh's triflin ass and lo n behold who came as our Moses? It was Alex Smith. But us Skins fans being the hard-heads that we are, We weren't happy with Alex. We wanted a Mahomes or a Rodgers or a Wilson. Somebody who would dazzle us with spectacular plays n numbers, bitch-slap Pharaoh's ass n lead us to glory in spectacular fashion. This angered the football god so he flipped the script n cast Alex down and the Skins went immediately into disarray n dysfunction again. Then the football god felt bad for what he had done, not to us fans cuz we're idiots, but to Alex.

So he sent us another, RR, and he lifted Alex back up. And while this did cause some Skins fans to rejoice and be thankful. There were still many of us who still were not happy.

That's pretty much all I remember.........

i think KC is the best qb we have had during the snyder era . i remember 4 big wins he got us when he took us into the playoffs . i dont care about what records the opponents had we had to win them all and redskins tradition vs any team is none are givens

the truth is with few exceptions our team during this era have been substandard and its about 50/50 on whose fault it is

Lets not start on KC again. That ship has sailed.

Wait...we could easily say it is Montez Sweat. We could also throw Daron Payne in there.
Def could argue that. Throw Allen in too for good measure.

No doubt on KC being the best QB the Skins have had in the Snyder era from an overall perspective.. From a strictly talent standpoint it may be Griffin or maybe even Jeff George. It wasn't my intention to disparage any QB the Skins have had in the Snyder era. But what QB anyone wants to put out there. None have done what Alex Smith has from a win/loss standpoint in the Snyder era. True, his sample size is not that big. And there's been a few that had successful first years. None were really able to maintain that success beyond that first year. And while I believe we have more talent on the team this year, at least from a defensive perspective (and I'd take Terry Mac over any WR the Skins have had in the Snyder era) The talent cup definitely wasn't running over in Smith's 1st year as the Skins QB. Yet he went 6-4 in games he started and that 4th loss is the Hou game and who's to say how that turns out if he isn't injured.

I guess I'm just in my own head right now as the other day. I saw Tim Tebow doing something or another and I thought about his days as the Denver QB. When he led the Broncos to a playoff win over a heavily favored Steelers team. They lost the next week to the Pats and Tebow was promptly cut before the next season started. I always felt he got the short end of the stick and deserved at least a chance to compete for the Broncos starting QB gig the following year. Basically I kinda feel like I'm watching a version of Tebow right now. He never put up gaudy numbers and everything was a grind and kinda ugly. Smith is not exactly Tebow, he couldn't use his legs to run like Tebow even before the injuries, but when it comes to ugly, head scratching, how the fuck did he do that win. Alex is damn near right there with Tebow.

Yeah, I'd agree with Cuz being the best QB in the Snyder era, but that was the year the Skins didn't beat a single team with a winning record. That kinda negates any of the wins being big wins that year, at least for me. The Skins were a 2nd tier that could beat or lose to other 2nd tier teams, but had nothing coming against better upper tier competition.
