1. Haskin's should not have been a 1st round pick. Draft him 2-4 you can afford to sit him.

2. We really don't know how much time Cousin's would need. I would guess he needed some time.
3. Interesting point I heard the other day that sadly I never considered. If you don't have a top 5 QB, don't pay him. Draft a new one. What does Dallas do? Pay Dak a boat load ... much like Philly did Wentz. The Eagles might have played it right drafting Hurts. He is cheaper, except they paid Wentz a fortune first. That was a mistake. Redskins F'd-up too. They didn't pay Cousin's but they did pay Smith.
4. I am changing my tune. Continue to build an awesome D. Add a WR and a 2-4 round QB. If you don't like that QB draft another one the next year or in two years. Keep the D strong.

With all due respect, Haskins was a first round pick. He can’t have the luxury of sitting and learning, not in today’s NFL. Sportster articulated perfectly why. There are too many rookie and 2nd year QBs playing , some at a high level, to show it can happen. We need to stop making excuses for Haskins. He wasn’t ready. He isn’t ready. But most frustrating is that there really hasn’t been much improvement from him in his time here. So it’s fair to question if he will ever live up to expectations.

True. But I’d bet if he started his first game, he’d still be the top QB in the league.

Mahome's is going to most likely going to leave the game as one of the all time greatest. I do not think DH will be all that close to him. Mahome's grew up with a professional athlete as a dad. He soaked up all that Smith and Reid gave him in that year. Not sure that Haskin's would be great under Reid but he would be better ... or gone. IMO Reid is the best QB coach in the NFL.
