As far as the draft we are in the Cbs Farley and Patrick Surtain and Linemen Slater and Leatherwood range Slater would be a good addition here kind of a dalton risner type he can play all the ol postion

Our oline cant handle a rookie qb right now qb next year should be Alex, Haskins , And stop gap type i personally give up on Kyle Allen .. i think Donald ,Wentz is better then Haskins i bet stafford and Carr get let go to hell maybe the qb Ryan . Just build up the talent lock down key players and chug a long

Stafford would be a very good get and Carr would be a significant upgrade as well, but I don't see the Lions letting Stafford go or the Raiders letting Carr go. Neither one of them are the problem on their present teams right now. I don't know about Wentz and what it would take to acquire him, but imo he's not the same player he once was a couple years ago. Plus he seems somewhat oblivious to giving up on a play not working, holds the ball too long and has injury concerns If Darnold was a FA or outright released that would be one thing. But in the situation they are presently in. The Jets would be silly to not acquire as much as they can in a trade for Darnold. And it seems like there's a lotta people out there that think he's fixable or just needs to be in a better situation. I'm not so sure of that.

Do you mean Darnold and neither one of those choices are really appealing.
No, they are not. We have to stop coveting other teams' castoffs. There is a reason why they are available.

if you look at the cap you will see it is very hard for us to get a ryan or stafford or carr because of their cap numbers and that of smiths . in my post about qb options i went over the cap numbers . you also have to think about what kind of draft picks you need to give up to get these guys

i dont mind darnold for the right price . with good coaching he could turn out OK

CDC is coming off a major injury . he might not be at his best yet and he is working through it . a full offseason could improve things

i dont know what you expected to see from DH yesterday with no 1st team reps in like 6 weeks . he admits he is a work in progress . i would expect overthrows from him because he could be rusty . i havent looked at the tapes yet but did he make the right reads mostly ? . i saw bad mechanics still . but the fact is he didnt lose the game for us and he does move better then CDC .

kyle allen is a FA next year . we can retain him for the NFL minimum

its obvious to me that we wont let DH develop so yes we are looking for a qb that has more seasoning from the draft . lawrence and fields are off the board . , so wilson , trask and mack are in play . i dont see lance being any different then DH other then he has mobility , butnhe will be raw as well and we wont tolerate developing a qb

again wentz presents an issue with the cap . your best bet is to draft a qb and hope you hit . the guy we need to take is the guy who can make the reads , go through progressions fast and knows what to do with the ball .

but as long as we arent going to be patient and develop guys its pointless. and we must move on from DH if we do this and the corresponding 8 mil cap hit along with the 14 mil CDC cap hit

The problem is you can't take three years to develop a 1st round QB. By the time he "might" be ready you'll owe him a bundle. Draft a later round guy, on a more team friendly rookie contract if you want to develop someone.

I don't have any Kyle Shanahan hate. He didn't screw things up. That was Dan and Bruce.

As a long time Redskin fan you should still be nervous. Things look like they are going in the right direction which is not Dan's way.

I guess after over two decades our mind set is locked in to not believing, right?

Yeah, there’s positive things going right now, but I expect Washington (Fake news) post to release a new story any minute now.

I have no idea what the team is going to do. We do not know how long Smith was effected by his calf but he was not good at all. He cannot get away from the rush. Granted CDH didn't get reps but he looked like the same guy that got sat down. What CDC is since coming here is 10-5 in games he starts. :noidea:

The defense was freaking awesome. I love me some D. The WTF were physical, they were fast and they were decisive. All that said you are not going to get two TDs on D every week.

My thoughts is we keep looking for a QB while keeping this D as dominant as possible.

Most intelligent post of the day!

The only thing i can notice from alex he scrambles around in the pocket when he does not need to.. the rise of hurts in philly ,and with Jets drafting Larwence i can live picking up Wentz or Donald i perfer Donald. . Draft depth and lock down as many young players we can

I don't think the Rams will let us have Donald and he just wouldn't look right at QB.

Right on and on top of that success builds greed. Just look at all of those Chiefs players who wanted big raises this year after they won the Super Bowl. Some got those raises but in most cases contracts had to be restructured to keep most of their group together. This happens with teams in all sports after they win a championship.

we didnt give DH a year to sit and learn . he was starting in his rookie year which he shouldnt have because he wasnt ready . . qbs need this or at least most

we base our qbs choices on what the great ones do and not what MOST do . KC needed time . we developed him and then we part ways with him because he isnt a STAR .

if you are going to have the "star " then you end up not having an elite defense but maybe a middling one . if you have an elite defense you may end up with a game manager qb

we will end up drafting a qb next year . if its round one then a need that could have been solved moves to the stop gap fix . if we are smart we use our cap to resign our own guys

unless you draft one , your best options are what we have now . CDC , DH and allen .

we just cant get the cap to work out unless you get a darnold or trubisky

Absolutely our best options are to keep what we have at QB right now and use the draft and FA to build on our other offensive weaknesses. That's my two cents worth but Snyder has been silent for too long and he will probably overrule me.
