Ding ding ding! Yes the White Sox had an 88 year gap (1917-2005)

Top 5 for MLB
1. White Sox: 88 years (1917-2005)
2. Red Sox: 86 years (1918-2004)
3. Twins: 63 years (1924-1987)
4. Giants: 56 years (1954-2010)
5. Braves: 43 years (1914-1957)

Twins franchise won a championship as the Washington Senators in 1924, but I did say franchise

AHHHH, I know it.. The Bullets. Like 30ish years I think. Forgot they were in Baltimore first I think.
Wrong, they only won 1 championship in 1978 so they do not qualify.

If 19 was the second longest, then Boston (between Bird's last title and the Big Three title) has to be #1. That's more than 20 years.

Well shit I thought they won one in like the 40's.... Hmmm.
Ahh I see. That's a completely different franchise that was debunked and has no affiliation with the Washington Bullets that won a championship in 1978.

Final answers:

MLB: White Sox-88 years (1917-2005)
NHL: Rangers-54 years (1940-1994)
NFL: Rams-48 years (1951-1999)
NBA: Celtics-22 years (1986-2008)

Currently, if the Eagles were to win the Super Bowl this year, they would break the Rams record by 5 years (they last won in 1960).

Here's another question:

Name the top 5 longest CURRENT playoff droughts in each of the Big 4 sports.
*In the NFL there are 2 teams tied for the 5th spot so there are actually 6 answers for the NFL
