Who the hell knew Florida could shoot 70% when they couldn't shoot half that the first 20 games??

FLORIDA could not miss a shot it seemed even if 3 defenders were on the shooter.
And West Virginia could not shoot straight even if unguarded.
That pressing style only works if both teams are shooting at normal rates.

It is lethal if teams shoot at expected rates.
It becomes a gimmick and looks bad when there is unexpected statistical shooting nights.

I am not sure Huggins can have a deep run with it.....there is going to be weird shooting nights in the Tourney.
It is a better best of 7 strategy NOT a single game strategy.

Most of those 3's were being shot with no defender. A little better defense would make a difference. WVU plays school yard ball. Lots of pushing and hacking; no finesse. I can see why teams don't like to play them.

More then half those threes had a hand in the face. Even then, an impressive shooting performance but come on, that good?

Florida was the more physical team today, you shot well and played D against our lost O. Shocked you haven't this to other teams considering the schedule you have played.

No doubt they are extremely physical...maybe too physical as, IMO, they lose track of who to guard and leave the hoop unguarded. Several easy slams made by Florida today and open 3's. Fortunately, Florida has a lot of size, strength and speed this year and was able to withstand the physical play. IMO, all the bumping and grabbing throws your own team's rhythm off and makes the game look and play sloppy.

It's what this team has thrived on these last two years. Physicality and pressure is what has turned this team around. It may look sloppy, but for much of the year it's what got the job done. Obviously today it was nothing close to working.

I know, that was the game were we didn't hit a 2 pointer the whole first half and we couldn't miss from 3.

Take solace though, you kicked our ass the last 2 times we played.

All 5 home teams won the first 5 games...with only 1 by less than double digits
