WTF do I need to try again for? I didn't say anything about them being ranked in the CFP top 10. I simply asked when you and Texasexs were going to replace the CFP committee? You two are busy declaring who should and shouldn't be ranked and being the college football authority.

Where did you learn to read? OU?

Why would you ask if our rankings are going to replace the CFP rankings when we're talking about rankings that had Tennessee in the top 10 THAT WERENT THE CFP RANKINGS???? Jesus, aggy, stfu while you're behind.

I wouldn't go that far. They have wins over Florida and Virginia Tech and are currently 7-3 and should finish 9-3. They lost to Bama (everyone has to date), A&M, and the bad loss to South Carolina. Not top 10 or even 20, but definitely should be ranked.

True, but they are easily a butt hair away from being below .500 struggling to beat Appy State, Ohio and UK, while getting lucky against UGA.

2008 Big 12 Conference South Division 3-way tie controversy - Wikipedia

It was Texas, Texas Tech, & OU in 2008. OU was declared the winner by virtue of the poll ranking.

That was a long time ago and I have slept and drank beer since then.
Ah, memories. Oklahoma (11-1, 7-1), Texas (11-1, 7-1), and Texas Tech (11-1, 7-1). That was crazy. I remember bonehead Brent Musburger voicing his worthless opinion. He felt Texas should have gotten the spot in the CCG because they beat OU head-to-head (45-35). Hello, Dipshit. What about Texas Tech? OU blew their doors off 65-21 and TT beat Texas 39-33. I love how he (and others) ignored that. What a doosh.

And Texas fans got a big lessen about people/polls loving Oklahoma and, well, Texas not so much. :pound:

Why the Big 12's (perhaps unwisely) adding a conference title game

So the Big 12 is going to have a Conference Championship game between teams that have already played a head to head match up.

They are using the argument that it will give another "data point" for the Big 12 Champ to get into the CFB Playoff.

How does that work? If Team #1 has already beaten Team #2, how is beating them again going to impress the committee? What happens when Team #2 upsets Team #1? IMO the risk vs. reward doesn't work out to well.

If it would've been feasible, I think it would've been awesome for the league to schedule out a game during championship weekend for the conference champion against someone like Notre Dame or BYU.

Ideally, what would've been best for college football would've be for them to have their conference champion take on a team from another conference that came in second in their division and play the game during championship weekend, but I understand how neither conference would want to risk that matchup.

Bedlam will need to be moved to October. I don't think either school wants to play each other back to back.

A true rotating schedule should be set up.

Although no one wants to move Texas-OU out of State Fair time.

Yes, but you're making an important distinction between fan experience and calling that an actual quality win. Aggy over here is calling Tennessee a quality win when it's clearly not.

To inject a point of clarity into the discussion:

If you lost to South Carolina this season, you are NOT a good team.

It wouldn't bother me one bit.
How about Oklahoma/Texas on Thanksgiving???

I think this makes a lot of sense, but does it then stop being a neutral-site game, and go back and forth between Austin and Norman?

We're never going to see A&M/Texas on thanksgiving weekend anymore. We should all just move on. Aggie got that heated rivalry w/Ellis Yew now

I'm about the only one who would like a home/home/jerryworld rotation.
Everyone is stuck on this State Fair thing.

Me either. Call me anti traditionalist on this one, but I'd like to see them play the games in Norman and Austin ala all the other rivalries sans the WLOCP. This may sound like heresy coming from a Texan dissing the State Fair. But, I'm anti neutral site games period but I may be in the minority.

Does LSU know this?

Oh, they took a bit of convincing that their Golden Boot game with Arkansas wouldn't be the marquee rivalry anymore, but they're totally on board with the 12's now

I'm deffo against neutral site games in which teh neutral site is mere miles away from one of the campuses involved.

LOOKING AT YOU HOUSTON.

...how our AD and staff allow this shit to happen is WAY above my pay grade.
