It's not a matter of being qualified for Iowa. It's obvious that he is. The only reason I could see for this being the case would be making the jump to Iowa easier as far as fanbases is concerned. However, I don't see this being the case. Ferentz will be at Iowa for a while and once he's gone, most think that it's his son's job to lose.
