Best turkey decoy below $35??

Trying not to get chincy here but was wondering if anyone who hunts with turkey decoys can recommend a good one for under 35 bucks? Also if you have any pointers on using them in the field I am all ears.

Just about the entire Turkey hunting marketplace is B.S.; it doesn't take much to kill a Turkey and you don't have to have all sorts of gear to do so. A good call, concealment, time spent at pattering board and lots of scouting will often be enough to get the job done. (Sorry for that and I will now step off my soap box.)

As far as set up goes, I normally set up in fields near to the roost. Decoy placement can be tricky depending on the terrain you plan to hunt. I like to sit with my back against a big oak at the edge corner of a field with my decoys placed (at angle) between 15 to 25 yards away.

If you set up in a wood lot make sure you account for depressions in the land like old culverts/ditches. Jakes seem to be very funny about crossing those sort of obstacles.

We once brought in a couple of birds using goose decoys. They really are the dumbest birds in the world. Concealment and good calls are all that is really needed.
