It seems the only reason he did not include Detroit in the suit is because he already has a workmans comp claim in against them.

I think this is a bitch move on his part, Lions kept him on the roster making millions of dollars long after it was clear his career was over. On top of that he was around long enough to collect the NFL retirement benefits.

players KNOW the risk of head injuries exist and maybe a player that had a prior history of them should have considered another career! Where does accountability come into play? Its the lions faults that he decided to pursue a career in a violent risky sport?

Didn't they do this deliberately too? At the very least they gave that impression.

Not sure what he thinks he can get out of this.

Yeah, it was assumed they were doing him a favor.

Jahvid Best should be the bullet that brings down the bogus player lawsuits vs. the NFL. Dude begged every doctor he could find to clear him to play, and vented his frustrations about not being cleared to play in public for two full seasons. And now he wants to sue the same NFL that told him "No, you're too hurt to play?" for getting hurt?? He should be arrested and thrown in prison tomorrow for attempting to file a FAKE lawsuit. Bitch.

Whats worse is that he had two of his concussions in college. He knew his situation and he still joined the NFL draft. So to blame the NFL for his head injuries is bogus.

I am curious about something else though. When players have head injuries, when they come back, often they use special helmets that have more padding to them. At least I have heard of this in the past. Why doesnt the NFL just make these helmets mandatory across the board to help limit concussions?

Like the giant helmet the lineman from San Fran used to wear? (Foam covering?) Itd make sense.

After observing the human race for over fifty years, I'm convinced that whatever we don't fuck up, we shit on.

I would be remiss in my duties as the ultimate hater not to point out that Martin Millenhew traded away draft picks to move up and draft this player with well known and documented concussion issues.

Just another in the long line of early round disasters from his genius drafting skills. All of which were learned from his brilliant predecessor.

I hope that Best personally adds Millenhew to the lawsuit. I continue to see no reason as to why I should change my avatar or signature to anything else.

I wonder why he didn't sue the NCAA or Cal as he had his shit scrambled in college a few times.

This is the problem with drafting injury prone guys with serious histories of one sort. I wonder if Broyles will sue the NFL and Nike?

Is it really being remiss to not take something off topic to be a douche?

We already know where this is going.

Players sue NFL.
NFL avoids signing college players with concussion histories.
Players sue colleges.
College football programs scrapped.
Players sue high schools.
What will Texans do on Friday night?

I think he's calling meow a douche. He should know by now, I tell him all the time. ;)

Is Dr. Evil-er also meow? If so then yes I am. I am not sure why he felt it would be negligent to his duties to not try to hijack yet another thread for his rehashed comments about Mayhew.
