Best Rushing Defense Ever?

And who these posters though? I for one can only find Kreton as in your description. Everyone else has discussed our inadequacies. I can't think of one poster of the top of my head that thinks everything is happy go lucky for this team. So who are these posters you think fit this bill? Names would be great examples.

Saints, broncos, seahawks 49ers. .yeah pretty much. Of course anyone could win it, thats the beauty of the playoffs. That doesnt mean I consider them legitimate. The lions havent won shit, currently and hell they were 6-3 and "in the drivers seat" a few weeks ago as well were they not? So apparently anyone with a winning record is a legitimate super bowl contender for you?

At what point of this season have the Lions not been in the drivers seat? We've been in first place all year, except one week if i'm not mistaken. As far as "the Lions havent won shit" neither has any team in the NFL this year. Lions chances are as good as any. Our offense can score on any team in the NFL. Our D can make any team one dimensional. Lions get back to protecting the football and who can beat us?

I am holding out hope for a win as I will be at the game. I watched the Philly Zona game yesterday( most of it). Philly played hard and sacked Palmer quite a few times. They picked him off a couple of times too. The Cardinals don't have Bush who is our X factor. What I'm getting at is Philly is no pushover like I thought earlier in the year. That said as a fan of the Lions, I've watched every minute of every game, I feel that some of the turnovers we've had have been some rotten luck. Sure some have been bad play, several have just been bad luck IMO. They have just really piled up especially in the last three games. If we improve on the turnovers (>3) and the D line builds off of their last outing we can play with ANY TEAM. Will it happen? I HOPE so. We'll see on Sunday.

DL has been great all year, but when the pass defense is in the bottom third and the total defense is 18th, it's just an indication that teams are choosing to pass instead of run.

Lions' opponents have run 39.4 passes per game against just 22.4 rushes League averages this year are 35.6 passes and 27.0 rushes faced by team defenses. Not huge gaps, but statistically significant.

The statement that the Eagles are 4x the team the Lions are is plain idiocy and that's a scientific fact. I admit I like their coach better - If the Lions had Kelly they'd have scored 400 points by now. I'd probably take Shady over Bush, and I'd trade linebacking corps. OL play pretty even, secondaries close, DL play the Lions light-years ahead of the Eagles, QB play the Lions better (but the Eagles scheme better), WR of course not close, TE pretty even.

Lions objectively have a much better defense than the Eagles. Not even close, really. Offensively the Lions outgain the Eagles in YPG and the Eagles are less talented.


Kelly is starting to make a difference, and this game will come down to whether the Lions can make long drives to keep the defensive line fresh and keep the turnover battle close. If there are quick scores or 3-and-outs look out in the second half.

I agree man thanks. I wouldnt expect him to. If i came across as condescending or snide I apologize, I sincerely do not come on here to belittle others, so that was not my intention. I do think you missed my point about the "kool aid drinkers" or whatever the statement was. If some people can call anyone that has constructive criticism about the team a doom and gloomer, then others should be able to call the people that bash anyone that has any criticism the opposite, no? Any Lions makes any mistake and half of you realists get on line and get so excited to point out that the Lions aren't perfect. The reality is the Lions are a playoff team despite all off season and the last couple weeks of people pointing out how they aren't. Lions make any mistake and suddenly they are a "bad team" according to some of you fucks. Lions are 7-5 and playoff bound. The Lions have one of the most potent offenses in the NFL, and one of the best run defenses in the NFL. Special Teams we look good most of the time. Pass D might not be too bad but being bad in 1 aspect out of 5 ain't too shabby.

As far as some of you haters talking about they Lions aren't superbowl contenders you can kiss my ass. ALL playoff teams are contenders. All you have to get in and anything can happen.

So according to you the lions are already in the playoffs. Good to know. I dont know about the other posters but I definitely dont rush online to point out their mistakes, I think Ive been around for one maybe two game threads this year. I do know that I have many negative and positive things to say about the team but the only thing you seem to see are he negative things. Listen, we all would love to see the lions in the super bowl, and yes realistically if they make the playoffs they could somehow advance to the super bowl. Anything is possible. But more than likely if they make the playoffs that scenario will not unfold, you are more than entitled to our opinion, but what gets me is if anyone disagrees with it they need to stfu or kiss your ass.
