Islanders vs. Rangers series back in 1984 was incredible.

Maybe not the most incredible series, but in 1982, the Kings coming back from being down 5-0 in the 3rd to beat the Oilers was amazing (and also winning the series).

Best hockey TV series (which I thought this thread might be about at first) -- He Shoots, He Scores (french version is even racier IIRC).

Homer series is the 2011 series with Chicago. Not that we blew the 3-0 lead, but that we were able to slay the Chicago dragon. Not sure we get to the Final if we would have played Dallas in the first round instead.

Non homer would be the 2004 Cup Final. (sorry dash) Great play, controversy (I think it was in), overtime drama in an elimination game, a Game 7.

Homer. Either Chicago or San Jose on 2011. I can still remember where I was during those winners.

Family. I can't remember when but it was the late 90's or early to mid 2000's (not 2005 because I moved by then) but Vancouver took out Calgary.

I say this because It is a family rivalry between Canucks and Flames (my dad is from Calgary).

Homer 1989 Pittsburgh over the Rangers. Yes it was a sweep, but it was Pittsburgh first series win I can remember. Of course that damn Hextall knocked the Penguins out in the next round.
