Come on, really !!!!! where is there a better rival in the AFC than Ravens - Pitts......It don't get any better than those slobber knockers......And now Cincy has become a viable contender too.....Both Pitt and Bmore had a down year last year but 1 out of 6 doesn't mean you abandon ship......No comparison in the AFC, it's the North for sure.....

Come on, slobber knocking football for these teams fell to the way side before last year. Time for these teams to go back to what made them great and forget about the NFL being a passing league. Time for old school football to come to the fore front once again. The NFC west is holding the torch for now, I would love for other teams to follow.

We are talking about AFC teams, and lest you forget, we just won a SB after going 5 straight playoff runs, and matching the greatest of all time Joe Montana's best playoff run.
If you call 1 bad year because of turnover and injury ,FALLING BY THE WAYSIDE, then you are not as observative as I thought you were......Trust me and all the experts when I tell you that it is Extremely difficult to repeat after a SB, even when you keep your key players, it's a mountainous goal to reach and once a team has gotten there, most of the time, they feel that they have conquered the world and what else is there to accomplish......So it's hard to get motivated to the point of giving all and then some to get there again.....
You have to be starving hungry to accomplish that, and have a lot of luck along the way....

Now THAT'S optimism at it's finest

Yeah, i had that as my pick on the bold predictions thread.

I like Bortles and Brady. And fwiw, at this point their schedule is pretty cake. If any team in that division just plays mistake "free" ball they're going to walk in to a .500 season.

Yeah I hear that it's very difficult to repeat. I hear that over and over and over. The Seahawks are going to show it is indeed possible, this year.

As far as the the Ravens (and Steelers) go, they both quit playing old school football for a while. It didn't start last year.

I always knew you had a softspot for the AFCN...

Definitely. One of the most physical divisions in the NFL regardless of how well each team is doing. Predictions... I think the AFCN is going to be led by the Steelers & Ravens again like usual. Bengals are going to give it one more shot this year at being competitive then they are going to drop off again. Mark my words!

Nope Face I was just drunk when I posted this. Now that im half sober wtf was I thinking?

I say the AFC West but this upcoming season will disagree. I think the chiefs take a step back and the NFC West will beat the AFC west pretty soundly throughout the season.

I just don't see any other division that makes me think they are strong. The colts are going to run the AFC south until texans find a QB. The North is in a state of flux with the ravens and steelers replacing lost and aging talent. That combined with the Bengals not quite able to make the turn makes them more mediocre. The East is turning into a perennial shit bowl. Every step the dolphins, Jets, and Bills take forward is followed by a quick step back. The Patriots had one of the worst teams they have had in like a decade and still won the division by week 14.

The AFCN...overall there's a lot of talent in the DIV...QB play on some level has prevented CIN from taking the next step and CLE from gaining any consistent offensive footing...both BAL & PIT have felt the personnel turnover, but at the same time have the most productive QBs.

Speaking for PIT...they are close to turning the corner with respect to the aging roster...of course like any 8-8 team from the previous year, there are questions...will Ike be a liability in coverage? Can the front 7 find a consistent pass rush? Will the young WRs step up?

The DEF got a whole lot faster with 1st round pick Shazier, on the 2nd level, and Mitchell on the backend. I think CIN, BAL and PIT all have the potential to win 9 to 11 games...I would be surprised all 3 don't reach 9 wins...CLE has a lot better talent than the record will show but the QB position has not been consistent...they will give any team fits @ home...the AFCN won't yield the best record in the AFC, but collectively top to bottom, that might be the best DIV.

I would absolutely listen to arguments that the AFC North will have the 4th best #1 team, but from top to bottom I think the AFCN regains it's status as best AFC division this year.
I think that this year it will be the north also, with the exception of the Steelers, who along with the Chiefs will be picking top 5 in next years draft. Theres no way either of those teams win 5 games this year.

Stages of grief:
Step 1 is denial...
Step 2 is anger...
Step 3 is depression...
Step 4 is acceptance...

You're on your way to a full recovery

seriously ?? the steelers have next to nothing, in fact they may well be the worst team in the entire league this year, and for years to come. you dont have 5 talented players on that entire team. Who's afraid of the big fat Ben ? I say no-one, Ben is done...period..and so is Troy. You have a bottom third QB, no receivers, no O-line, no running back, and the defense is probably at its worst in history. really ?? you think that team is better than the Jags last year ? think again. hide n watch...and by all means...save this post for the end of the season.

I think you are about to get a double dose of humble pie, my friend.....And although the whole league has moved toward using the long ball as part of their arsenal, it is in fact a help to the running game and anyone worth their salt knows that a balanced offense is the most effective.....That doesn't mean you throw out the smash mouth style of football either way....The game is won in the trenches, and Bmore and Pitt have built their foundation on that principle and have been very successful at it.....Your boys win 1 SB and already their fans are experts on how to do it.....You'll see, remember you gotta get past SF, GB, NO, and Atlanta.....Don't go betting the farm just yet, it's a long road back to the mountain top with everyone taking shots at you along the way.....

Typical steeler fan, you think that by merely fielding a team called the pittsburg steelers, that you are guaranteed a place in the end...not this time sister...the steelers are terrible. Get used to it
