Typical steeler fan, you think that by merely fielding a team called the pittsburg steelers, that you are guaranteed a place in the end...not this time sister...the steelers are terrible. Get used to it

:L

That just about sums it up.

You win a cookie...

These Bronco fans are some thing else, aren't they Misko? To hear them talk, they are the cock of the walk. If I didn't know better, I would think they actually won the Superbowl last year and are ready to embark on a dynasty run. Certainly nobody in the AFC can hold a candle to them..... well according to them!

Oh sheesh just because I don't think your team is the greatest thing since sliced bread it makes me some kind of idiot? No I don't think the Broncos are going on some great dynasty run. I think they will be a good team depending on the quarterback situation after Manning for quite a few years as they have some great young talent but I would be happy with 1 Super Bowl win in the next 10 years as I realize how tough it is to win a Super Bowl.

I don't agree with the other Bronco fan Kwit on here about Pitt as I think they stand a very good chance of making the playoffs. If the OL can stay healthy Big Ben can still be a top-10 quarterback in this league. They also have some nice weapons around him. Defensively they still have some great talent young and old. Really the NFC North is wide open and it would not surprise me in the least if Pitt came out on top as I do think they have a top notch coaching staff and I still think Big Ben is a top-10 quarterback in this league. Any time you have that kind of combo they will do just fine.

This thread really doesn't have any thing to do with the Seahawks, I've just noticed that some here feel that the Broncos are ordained to go to the SuperBowl and are the class of the AFC..by far. I just don't see it that way. Besides my post wasn't directed at you in the least. Don't get defensive.

I made one quick comment as I knew you had commented about me hating on the Seahawks so just was making sure you understood it has very little to do with me not liking the Seahawks. Most of my post focused on the broncos not being a dynasty and liking the steelers to make the playoffs

Hey Cdumler7,
I think your a all right guy, but a fan from a rival team, who's going to have views I don't agree with. Expect me to give you a some guff, but realize it good natured in spirit.

Football season can't get here soon enough for me.

That we can agree on! Ready to talk real football. I enjoy talking to you as well as you seem to know what you are talking about. Just think we all are getting tired of this time of year. I apologize if I came off hateful towards the Seahawks. I respect the heck out of the organization and what they are doing.

gosh Harry, you have quite a predisposition to exaggeration dont ya ? I think there are plenty of good teams in the AFC...I simply dont think that the squealers are one of them. Did you feel that you are the only person here that has a right to their own opinion ?

seriously ?? the steelers have next to nothing, in fact they may well be the worst team in the entire league this year, and for years to come. you dont have 5 talented players on that entire team. Who's afraid of the big fat Ben ? I say no-one, Ben is done...period..and so is Troy. You have a bottom third QB, no receivers, no O-line, no running back, and the defense is probably at its worst in history. really ?? you think that team is better than the Jags last year ? think again. hide n watch...and by all means...save this post for the end of the season.

Steelers do have a lot of questions as you have pointed out...8-8 will bring questions the following year...but I think you underestimate the overall talent on the team...OR, you don't know the players so they must suck.

WR...you say none, but admittedly A.Brown will need some players to step up...Moore is proven...a lot of promise on a 2nd yr guy that hasn't done it yet...valid question mark.

OL...again valid based on past history, but if you watched the Steeler games...OL was far less a concern the last 8 to 10 games last year.

QB...not worth commenting on that

DEF...after the 16 gms were played, they 13th ranked overall LY...no, not the DEF of old, but obviously not as bad as you think...should be an improved group this year with several young players getting their feet wet LY.

Again...duly noted, but we'll know fairly early if you're going to be right...the 1st 6 games. they should be favored or pick'em in 5 of them...if they are 3-3 or worse...they probably won't make the playoffs

All good points, and well noted. I simply think there is a lot of improved competition out there that will make it tougher to compete with the above several question marks.

I do however respect your genuine/adult commentary as opposed to those who follow up with name calling or lumping Bronco fans in general into some category of misfit idiots based on ONE persons comments. I was simply sharing my opinion, not competing for some arbitrary award for political correctness.

yea true all true .. they laid down fast just like a 10 dollar crack whore and didnt even make a game of it in the SB 43-8 they should be wearing bags next year I mean how could you not be embarrassed over that pathetic display .. and a dynasty with and aging qb past his prime and on the down hill slide isn't possible either.

Not sure where people are getting this dynasty idea. Kwit pretty much said he doesn't like the Steelers team for this upcoming season. Not once did he mention the Broncos being this elite team that nobody stood a chance against. I don't think many Bronco fans would be thinking dynasty right now. We are hoping with Manning we can maybe add one more Lombardi to the trophy case but that doesn't scream we are thinking dynasty. I do expect them to stay relevant for quite some time as they have some good young talent in guys like D. Thomas, Von Miller, Ryan Clady, TJ Ward, and others as most of those guys have been either 1st or 2nd team All-Pros in the last 2 years. Obviously the big question is whether they can find a quarterback after Manning but listening to Manning he plans to play out his contract with the Broncos which is another 3 years so don't have to worry about that quite yet.

Now yes the Super Bowl loss was embarrassing but honestly I would rather get embarrassed in the Super Bowl and be able to say my team made it that far than to not make the playoffs and have to watch the other 12 teams that did.

Again I think the Steelers stand a good chance of making a playoff push as they have the coaching staff and I still think Big Ben if the OL can protect him can be a top-10 quarterback in this league. I like many of the weapons they have on offense and expect them to do decent. Not a big Todd Haley fan for the OC as I don't think he is a great fit with Big Ben and his style of play but we shall see. Obviously defense is what the Steelers are known for and I expect them to bounce back some (although they didn't really fall that far...not like we are talking about a bottom 10 type defense here). Right now the AFC North doesn't have what I would call a huge front-runner for the division so again wouldn't surprise me if the Steelers came out on top or were able to get a Wild Card spot. The AFC West has a much tougher schedule this year so the idea of 3 of them making the playoffs is a big time long shot. AFC East still looks like the Patriots will win by at least 3-4 games. The AFC South looks like they will bounce back some but I think most of those teams are at least a year or two away from being in the playoff talk. So that leaves the AFC North with 3 teams that have playoff expectations and depending on injuries and bad bounces all stand a very good chance.

No problem...you backed up your point with some valid question marks the team has...I think most Steeler fans realize the team is in transition...it's still difficult to lower your expectations when you have a SB winning QB still somewhat in his prime.

I wouldn't mind having a top 5 pick next year, but I couldn't bear the season it will take to "earn" that pick...unlike in year's past...the Steelers will be counting on some young players early for the forseeable future, that will make them unpredictable, but I like the changes so far.
