So you thought the B1G was the best conference in America last year? Or did your "the champ is everything" point of view only develop this year.

Also, the PAC 12 gave us their runner-up. The refs took away a Wisconsin TD against them and they still lost. If all you care about is champ and runner-up, we got:

PAC Champ beats B1G RU
B1G Non-Champ or RU beats PAC RU

So even using your absurd, archaic system, the B1G still looks better than the PAC. If someone wants to say the SEC is best, that's completely defensible. The PAC? No way in hell.
Please show me where I said the Pac is the best. I'll wait right here...... > <

Hint: I've ALWAYS said the conf v conf shit is utter and complete garbage. Good luck proving your assertion.

These are college kids playing at the college level. Each team can be vastly different week to week, more or less trying to gauge whole conferences based on small numbers of games between them.

There is no conference better than others BS. At most you can say which one did better at a given time, but that doesn't make them overall better than the others.

We do not get to see enough games between any two conferences to judge as a whole and never have.

Stanford is obviously playing out of their minds today, but they have had flat games as well. I'm sure Iowa isn't always this bad. It's just not their day. But the outcome of this one game doesn't tell you a fucking thing about whole conferences.

key point here. Hard to make sweeping proclamations off one game.

plus you nailed it with the second bolded point.

Ive always wanted to see what would happen if you bred PAC offenses and SEC defenses

It would be like the Fun 'n' Gun offense mated to the Gator defense circa 1990s with the Ole' Ball Coach....

In the era of playing FCS level teams so often in OOC? It's going to happen more and more.

10 wins doesn't mean what it used to back in the 80's and 90's.

Beginning next season, I think, no B1G team will be allowed to play an FCS team.

I really wish every P5 would do that.

Me, too. The way to make that happen is for the CFP committee to "discount" those games when choosing playoff teams. I'll bet that would change things pretty fast.

I would have the P5 rankings

1. Pac 12
2. SEC
3. Big 12 (If oSu beats Ole Miss, then I would have Big 12 #2)
4. B1G
5. ACC

With MSU, Iowa, and NW getting destroyed like they did really hurt B1G. If Pac 12, SEC, or Big 12 did that, I would be saying how overrated (or not good) their conference is. I would say B1G was overrated.

Iowa beat one team ranked above them on my list (Us) in a game where they were outgained almost 3:2 and won because our QB tripped over his injured center on the 1 yard line and threw it down to an Iowa player.

The B1G schedules are horribly unbalanced. We went 13-3 the last two years playing no one good. We open next year with MSU, Michigan, OSU, Iowa, Nebraska, and NW. Record in a bubble doesn't mean much.

Horrible reason.

That fumble was with over 8 minutes left and Wisconsin had 3 full drives after that play. Iowa had 2 red zone drives result in 0 points in the game.

Reason Wisconsin lost was because Clement was injured. If Pitt had Conner and Wis had Clement, Iowa would have lost those 2 games.

Gonna be that way as long as conferences are so big teams don't play some others but once in a player's four year career.
