He really a scrambling QB?

I saw a special where Brady was ranked the best scrambling QB, which was due to his pocket presence. I can see using those lines of thinking but then every one but Kosar was a scrambling QB. Big Ben can move but I would not call him scrambling as much as a lighthouse that has a cannon.

Yeah, Ben isn't a scrambling QB; neither is Brady. Both will move when there's space to, but they're looking downfield, not to run. They're both solid at taking as much time as they possibly can, but that doesn't make them scramblers.

How many snaps has Mallett played? I know there's some hype about him or whatever, but it's hard to judge backups who never see the light of day.

That said, I don't trade him for any other backup in the league without anything short of a good first round pick coming with them.

I'm going to look like a homer but Shaun Hill is a great back up QB. He could come in for any playoff team in the league and win a post season game. He won't go out there and throw 3 TD's a game and 300 yards, but he won't lose the game for you either.

He is a very good guy to have as a back up. When he was with the 49ers he played pretty good off the bench and I'm pretty sure he won more games than he lost with the 49ers as the starter. He plays better in Detroit than he did in S.F., probably because of Megatron.

Ryan Mallett & Chad Henne are the only guys I'd want if I couldn't pick a starter.

Tyler Bray has the potential to climb his way up to that level if he pulls his head out of his lower intestine.

As Vol fan I wouldn't really want Tyler Bray on the Bears. He has talent but he needs to matual, I think he should have stayed and see if coach Butch can help his maturity, something I guess Dooley never fix.

I would pick Kirk Cousins since did pretty in the games he started in and Matt Flynn could be worth the shot.

According to Skins fans: Cousins.

They say he'll fetch a 1st round pick or two 2nds next offseason in a trade.

I agree, Briz. All the talk about trading Mallet is confusing to me. Mallet can still become a starter and has the tools to be a good one.

There is no reason for New England to get rid of Ryan Mallet. I thought picking up Randy Moss back in the day was a poor decision...and they proved me wrong. But acting like Tebow is the number 2 is killing me.

I can't imagine the number of people in NE jumping off bridges if Tebow were to take over when Brady was done.

Mallet hasn't played, so I'm not sure how you can pick him.

TJ Yates has a playoff win and has looked decent. Also, Nick Foles (in a losing effort) could probably start a couple of places.

And if you asked some Skins fans, they would tell you they have the #1 and #2 QBs in the NFL

Nope. I'll just assassinate Tebow and Belichick.

There is only 1 guy playing backup in the NFL right now that we know can take a team to a Super Bowl so Ill take Matt Hasselelbeck and give you guys the people who have never actually won anything ( Yates would be my second choice )
