Shocking. Should have re-signed Cook.
Meh. I don't hate the decision then or now. Bennett is a much better blocker than Cook and we certainly needed that given all of the injuries the O-line has succumb to this year. And Bennett came cheaper than Cook. Bennett simply grossly underperformed as a receiver. Not sure if it was due to this undisclosed condition or his brother's drama or system incompatibility or what.
I know a lot of people soured on him when he was sitting on the bench picking his nose during the National Anthem, too. I'm perfectly fine with the divorce and have no regrets - with the exception of Thompson drafting 2 RB, 2 WR, 0 TE in May; didn't like that then or now.
Still don't understand drafting 2 WRs when the bigger need was pass rushers.
Glad he's on NE's IR and not GB's.And the Patriots have now put him on IR.

I just hope the Packers get back a big hunk of his signing bonus.

Idunno. Cook is a below-average blocker and is prone to dropped balls. I still have no gripes about letting him move on; although in hindsight it would have been a better move for this year. My main gripe is that Teddy didn't even try to hook a TE in the draft.
Fumagalli would look really good in a Packer uniform.
People really need to stop saying all Badgers need to go to GB. Im not saying this is what is going on here but it happens every year.
