Bungles have no rushing attempts, not counting Burrow getting sacked and the QB sneak for no yards

You can't do this 'crappy first half offense' shit against a team like Green Bay. Rodgers will get hot sooner or later.

I was ready to tear into Taylor for that playcall on 3rd and 5 until I realized it forced GB to use their final TO. Not sure it was the right call but I see the logic behind it.

I don’t mind the call if it set up a slightly shorter kick attempt.

If I had godlike power right now, I would make that game end in a tie. That was just stupid

I will need to watch the replay of that because at a certain point, I gave up believing what I was seeing was real. Like it became an out of body experience.

The only thing I was fairly confident about was that Crosby would eventually make the game-winner.

I agree. It was definitely the call if they were in more makable range.

I thought it made no sense at that spot in the field until I realized an incompletion sets up either a 60 yd FG attempt or a 4th and 5 close to midfield with GB having a TO in their back pocket.

I was actually okay with that decision... I wasn't okay with the defense giving up a big pass to Devonte Adams the next play (which should have led to a winning GB field goal). But, I did understand that decision.

I was less enthusiastic about the decision making in overtime. I would have liked to see a more concerted effort to pick up a first down and give McPherson the chance to kick a winner from 30 some yards out. I understand that they trust him to make it - But the stats for pro kickers from beyond 45 are much different than they are from within 35.

They did as well as expected. Thought we might actually win for a bit. Not bad for playing a likely playoff contender

That's a killer loss right there.... Obviously no shame in losing to a contender from the NFC. But, given that they had two chances to win it after the Packers basically gave us life all day, it's tough that we couldn't do it. A 4-1 record would mean that you really only need to go 5-7 the rest of the way to make it to the playoffs. It's a tough loss.

Damn, that McPherson miss was tough..... Just watched a slow-mo video of it. Both he and Huber take a look at the kick in the air and start celebrating. I don't think either of them could believe that the ball was going to hook. No wind today either. Bizarre miss.

Something was up, because all the misses looked like they were pushed left - and there wasn't much of a wind at all. Crazy.

Tough game on the kicker, but a lot of blame to be held. Burrow finally had that game where he likely "lost" it rather than won it. It happens. Good to actually see in some way that even when he has those types of games against a really good team, this team can still compete.

This OL still needs more work. The lack of ability to consistently run is directly tied to the OL - and the need to go quick pass and 0-back set is directly tied to this as well. The OL is just a flat out mess, though a better mess than last year.

Another thing about the missed FGs...

How strong is McPherson's leg? The 57 yarder hit halfway up the upright and the 49 yarder was over the goalpost. He has the range to make it from 70 yards.

Yeah, he said he didn't even hit the 57 yarder very well and that is why it faded to the right. He knew when he kicked it that it might fade. That's pretty ridiculous given how high up on the post it hit from 57.

The 49 yarder is still perplexing. How many kicks has the guy practiced in that stadium? A pretty big number since joining the team this summer, for sure. To be so sure it was going in based off the way it came off your foot, it still seems odd to me that it hooked. That was the gods of football finally repaying the debt from the guy running on the field and stealing it from Brett Favre in 2005.

unfortunate that the ravens will pull ahead in the lead for the division.

but we showed about where we are against a playoff team.

still a lot of season left.

I'm not sure what the Colts were doing in the 2nd half on defense, but rushing just 4 and getting almost zero pressure 99% of the time was a poor, poor approach.

I get you didn't want to give up a quick score (like they did on the deep ball - but the DB did fall down) and Jackson can run on pressure, but to let any NFL QB sit back there for 4-5-6 seconds - in a zone - they will absolutely eat you alive, which Jackson did.

Credit to Baltimore for taking advantage. Good teams find a way to win. Bad teams find a way to lose.
