I feel bad for Mixon - they just don't call any running plays (or nearly enough) out of sets that are clearly a running set. No 3-4 wide shotgun hand offs and allowing him to read and run. Just running into a pile of OL who can't move anyone, or are 5 yards down field blocking no-one.

Phillips inexplicably calls for a fair catch with no defender within 10 yards of him...LOL

The guy will return punts with defenders damn near hitting him at the catch, but waives off that one. You can't make this stuff up. IQ on Phillips just isn't good at times.

Then Hopkins and Williams both strike...sack. Burrow is burried.

Really missing Bates in run support. He may not make the splash plays, but his ability to plug holes, especially in the run game, is noticeably missing.

Literally have run on like 90% of the 1st downs...bengals come with zero middle help with the LB's.

Phillips - who fair caught his last punt with no one around him, decides to run a kickoff back from 6 yards deep in the end-zone.

Got to the 13.

He has to have one of the lowest football IQ's on the team.

You simply cannot make up the amount of low IQ plays that occur on this team.

Jags came in with the exact same game-plan Bengals had for Chicago.

Bears stacked the box and took away everything short and brought pressure nearly every play.

Bengals sit back and wait for the Jags to adjust to them....pathetic.

Bengals blitzing - DB's 8-9 yards off the WR's as if they can get beat deep backed up against the end-zone...

Easy catch short, nearly a TD.

In that scenario - DB's should be no less than 5 yards, and likely even pressing to allow the blitz time to get home. Instead, lax coverage, easy catch.

That was a great win. Yeah, maybe a good team should just take care of business and not leave it up to chance.... But this is what this team needed..... A bigtime halftime gut-check and a W that puts them 3-1. I'm starting to like these guys.
