Why Zampese now??? He has been there 13 years and interviewed a couple of times and didnt get it..... I dont know how this dude would control an offense and he seems soft as hell....I want an IN YOUR FACE type of Mofo.....Not some soft ass Librarian..... Wanted Ken Whizenhunt but he re-upped in SD. I would look at Urban since he worked under Andy Reid but they may think he may not be ready and he was about to be that in Philly....... I dont want a quiet soft ass Bratkowsky, Zampese Greg Knapp ass coach......I want Fiery I want a motivator and a mofo who can call plays and stay aggressive! Stay tuned...we all know whats going to happen......

To be fair to Zampese:

The guy was Carson Palmer's first NFL quarterback coach and Andy Dalton's only quarterback coach. Dalton started from day 1, and while we all have our opinions on Dalton, he has been a starter on a 5-time playoff team. Zampese should get some credit here. Also, AJ McCarron was ready to play when needed.

Zampese has also coached with Mike Martz's GSOT offense..... Not known for being conservative.

If Chip Kelly doesnt get hired I would be interested in him being the OC but he may not want to use our playbook......

Chip Kelly isn't going to be a coordinator. The guy will make millions coaching the college team of his choice in 2017.

It's going to be Zampese...... Hue basically said as much in the article about him on Bengals.com.

In regards to Urban Meyer, A) We've all seen what that shitty spread offense translates to in the NFL and B) When NFL coordinators leave for college HC jobs all the time, why would you think that a head coach at a power 5 school would do the opposite?

I'm not overly thrilled with Zampese, but I'm not sure who else is out there that would instill any more confidence. Chip Kelly ain't coming here, and I'd rather have someone that will be here for a few years than someone that's clearly looking for something to hold them over for a year until they get a HC position elsewhere.

my feeling is this. Marvin wants to lessen the burden on our QBs and emphasize the running game. Hue was getting in the way of that. Zampese will not.

I don't understand why we would want anyone besides Zampese honestly. He knows this system, him and Andy have worked together, it keep continuity, it makes the most sense.
