Does he really think he is going to get more than $10 mil per? I guess it's just about years in case he has a bad year this year right before he would be hitting the free agent market. He must figure hitting the free agent market now would be better for him. Still, turning down $10 million as a 31-year-old third baseman in this economic climate seems a little foolish. What do I know? I'd play for $25,000 a year (after taxes, of course). Would be for free, but a man's gotta eat.
