I hope everyone realizes that there are a lot worse things people did to the Cup than that. I've read that some people have gotten belligerently wasted & used the Cup as a urinal. Yes, the Cup is sacred, but it's also been thru a lot.

He is a Leafs fan. He shouldn't touch it until they win. Yes I have touched the cup after the Kings won and I am sure Bieber did as well. He goes to a ton of Kings games.:gaah: Stepping on the logo he should be killed. Ever time I have been in a team's dressing room (2x Ducks and 2x Kings) I have been reminded before I entered the room to not step on the logo. I can hate him for his music, the way his "friends" drive his cars, his style of clothes, his hair, but he is a hockey fan and was probably excited to see the cup. He gets a pass from me on touching the cup.

Those two sentences seem very contradictory since we all know he'd never get to touch it under the first criteria.

I think Claude Lemieux took a dump in Lord Stanley's holy chalice...

I know.
Yes he shouldn't touch it but it is really a superstition not a rule. Lots of people touch the cup so if he wants the Leafs to go another 45 years without a cup, I won't get on him for that.
Besides the Leafs won in 67. I know his parents were not even born yet but there are people still alive that remember those days.

Messier let Howard Stern do that too.

Anyone who plays the game should not touch it until they earn the right to do so.

Those that don't play, well...

And standing on the logo? That's pretty lame too. But then again, whoever set the cup there was pretty much asking for it.

And is he a hockey fan? I've only seen pictures of him at Basketball games. He looks more the basketball fan type.

Haha I love 43's random crusade against Hayden P, completely out of left field. She run over your dog or something?

They don't put him on the jumbotron any more to avoid the booing

I find this amusing really. The night after the Hawks won it, some jackass pro wrestler had his picture taken lifting the Cup over his head, a right he did not earn, yet people slam Bieber for laying one hand on it.

So here's a question. We all know what you shouldn't do with the Cup unless you win it. But if you do win it, would it be poor etiquette to refuse to drink from it? I honestly don't think that I would (even before reading this thread but now even moreso). Not that I'll ever have to worry about it.
