How is that? They carry it in this massive beer and liquor store not far from my house, and I've always wondered whether it was worth picking up. It's a little pricey.

Well, I found a six-pack of Sierra Nevada's Torpedo IPA for $6.99 today, so I decided to go with that this time, since that's $3.00 cheaper than it usually is, but I need one more six-pack to get myself to 60 bottles so I can safely brew my first Arizona batch, and Rogue could very well provide those final six bottles.

Sam Adams Octoberfest is my number 1. Pretty much all of the Sam seasonal beers are phenomenal. Not big on the Euro beers (Heineken, Becks, etc.). Guinness is also delicious.

Try it hand-pulled on tap. Your mind will be blown.

I only "liked" your post because she is your teammate. I detest unions.

I picked up a 12 pack of Magic Hat Pistil on Saturday... Not a bad Spring beer.

Anyone drink Trappist beers? There's a pub in Ottawa that sells them and I can never resist.

I hadn't until I heard that Orvel was losing their Trappist label due to a monk shortage. Went right out and got me a couple, I've enjoyed it so far.

If any of you all read Beer Advocate, my teammate is on the cover today (wearing our team shirt!).

BeerAdvocate magazine #85: Craft Pride, Against the Grain, Bayou Teche, Los Angeles, Knee Deep | Community | BeerAdvocate

Cat was a brewer for Pyramid and was fired after organizing a union at the brewery. Officially she was laid off because the brewery was going to shut down for six (!) months for "maintenance." But it's fishy....

Their working conditions were totally illegal.

Have a 1/2 rack of this stuff, NOT going to touch it today tho.

I've got a few Samichlaus Classic bottles as well. I try to buy a couple every year, so the oldest one I've got now is two years old. Last year I tried a new one and a year-old one and the difference was very noticeable. The older one had gotten a sweeter and nuttier taste, similar to marzipan.

I'm fond of Trappists, but only in moderation. A couple a week max. Same with wheat beers, pilsners, and a few other styles.
