12 Coyotes to date

4 bucks 1 6 pointer a 4 and 2 spikes

6 does Biggest one was 134 lbs!

These are the results of myself and a good friend who get to hunt on completely private land. All the deer are small cause there are so many it is crazy.

My freezer is half full and in 2 weeks we get to go back and do it again. Generally speaking the 2nd phase is a bit slow but we will still probably pull out with 4-6 deer.

Been cutting up Venison for 3 nights straight while enjoying a few beverages. I think in the last 3 days I have eaten more Venison then most hunters eat in a year :laugh3:

I sat out for 7 days on stand and didn't glimpse a fucking patch of fur. I've got extra freezer space if you run out!

I still have some time to get back after geese and ducks~

BS.....Oscar says no one eats venison. He knows everything. :noidea:

Hammer em till you're happy. You have an obligation to get that herd back to a healthy weight. I've seen areas where every tree is stripped up to eye level because the deer don't have enough food.

Goats I tell ya....they are just like goats.

I dont buy steak. I dont buy stew meat and I dont buy sausage. Venison is much healthier then all of that hormone injected garbage.

I can't say I don't buy beef, pork and chicken, but I sure eat a lot of venison. In the spring and summer we pound the small mouth bass in the St. Lawrence.

For the last few years I've been digging a pond out back. It's getting to be a decent size where duck are starting to use it in the spring. I've stocked it with largemouth bass too. They are still small but starting to reproduce. The pond is really secondary to a project I'm working on. I need the fill. And we do a garden every year canning and freezing whatever we don't eat immediately.

Like you, I enjoy knowing the food we eat is further removed from commercial raising and growing practices.

So seeing a full freezer is a beautiful thing. :suds:
