I didn't condone what Beckham did at all. I just said Norman had a part in it as well. Earl made a comment - he really torched him, which I assumed was a shot at the original post. I simply said he actually did the first drive in which he dropped the pass. And then of course he caught the TD at the end. Yes, if Coughlin was pissed and cut him , I would be first in line to pick him up. Yes I would swap our whole WR corp for him. There has been much worse done. I'm not giving this guy a pass.
As far as ROdgers, yes I hate the SOB. If Romo did the same shit he did yesterday, the Romo haters would be in full force today. He does it all the time. He is an arrogant prick that never takes blame. With that being said, if he was cut today, yes I would be first in line to snag him because he is arguably the best Qb in the league- definitely better than Romo. Some of my hate for ARod comes from the fact I hate GB more than I do any team.

Thanks for the like from the Giant fan. There are cheap shots ever week in pro football. I really don't think at the moment he did what he did- I don't think he said I'm gonna break his neck. It was stupid. I think he regrets his actions and it likely won't happen again. As far as Norman, great CB that thrives in the system he is in. He talks as much shit as Sherman. I just wonder if the same shit happened to Sherman, what would be said today.

There is Zero defending Beckham...He is getting absolutely destroyed in NY as we speak, by the media, fans, etc......Not a sole is defending yesterday

if he doesnt learn from this embarrassment, I will get really concerned, but im willing to wait and see how he responds to this humbling

Don't know why Odell has been so chippy all season. Everyone has to deal with physical play from time to time, and he just doesn't respond well to it. He just needs to play his game and cut all the theatrics and B.S. His play speaks plenty loud.

I haven't seen any wide take it to the level OB did yesterday

best part? The idiot dropping a sure TD and then tapping his chest to 80 thousand fans saying MY BAD.

that asswipe thinks he's playing Broadway with no concept of team

Part of winning the battle is catching the balls. Dropped or not, he had a below average(to his standards) game.

He should and will be fined. Doubt he gets suspended.

To defend his actions saying it happens every week in pro football is just stupid. In which other games do you see players run full speed at a targeted player and head hunt, after the play?

How do you know it won't happen again or it was a spur of the moment thing? How do you justify any of your comments ROMO? Oh, because he is talented...

beckham is a bitch...that chicken shit head hunting play will get around the league

I'd say almost every outburst he had made him appear as a clown, but that move actually got me a little pissed as a football fan. That's a bitch move all the way, and there's no way he should have stayed in the game. I'm a little baffled his ass didn't get tossed. I don't know if that was star treatment of simply ineptitude on behalf of the refs.

Dez has been pissing me off and then some, but for all his tantrums, I've never seem him, or maybe any WR, take it to that level. Good luck with that shit, Giants fans. I know you love him and will overlook everything as long as he makes acrobatic, one-handed TD receptions, but there's a point where a shitty, me first attitude is just too damn detrimental to a team. He appears to be the type of player that will make done team learn that the hard way.

I love the double standard at this board. If you watch the play , it was dirty yes- but it wasn't after the play. He had just been slapped in the back of the head and turned around and saw his guy still running. Again if this is Richard Sherman, would be saying the same thing today. To say this is worse than Suh, Haynesworth , Eric Williams is just an opinion. I'm not 100 percent sure he meant to do what he did. I mean if he meant to hit him in the helmet with his helmet then yes that's awful but again I'm not sure that was his intentions - just like a DB hitting a WR and the WR lowering his head at the exact time.

To each his own, what comments do you want me to defend ?? I mean some of you are sounding like the Eagle fan - u know the king of this board. Pretty hypocritical out of him last night saying it's the worst thing he has ever seen. Now we all know the Eagles are all about drama, but I remember a Thankgsgiving day game that had a name after it - Bounty Bowl. If he was so politically correct then he should have dropped his team right then. Now if I was an Eagle fan, I would hope Odell got cut so maybe my team the Eagles could sign him to play some defense. Did you see that embarrassment last night of trying to tackle. Wow. And to say OB makes it all about ME. Ha, that one made me laugh especially when I look on the Eagles sideline.

Tom Coughlin almost benched Odell Beckham Jr., but here's why he didn't
By John Breech | CBSSports.com

December 21, 2015 12:08 pm ET

During the second half of the Panthers' 38-35 win over the New York Giants on Sunday, things got pretty heated between Odell Beckham Jr. and Panthers cornerback Josh Norman.

Week 15 NFL Picks

Beckham was flagged three times in the game for unnecessary roughness with two of those penalties coming in the third quarter. It wasn't just Beckham though. Norman also got flagged once for unnecessary roughness.

Penalties are one thing, but trying to take out a guy is another thing and that's what Beckham appeared to do in the third quarter when he hit Norman with a direct helmet-to-helmet shot, which you can see below.

Beckham-helmet-coal-12-20-15.jpg
Beckham is facing a possible suspension for the hit and probably should've been ejected from the game, but he wasn't.

Although Beckham didn't get ejected, someone could have pulled him out of the game and that someone is Giants coach Tom Coughlin.

Beckham was clearly out of control, so why didn't Coughlin yank him?

Coughlin explained his thought process after the loss.

Q: Was there any consideration or any reason, including his own safety, to take [Beckham] out?

TOM COUGHLIN: It was a consideration. In fact, it was a strong consideration. But it didn't happen.

Q: Why not?

TC: Because I didn't take him out.

Q: What was your reasoning for it?

TC: Because I wanted him to play the game. He had to learn. He's got to learn at some point how to deal with some things on the field.

Q: You're willing to deal with the penalties?

TC: No, I'm not willing to deal with the penalties. I'm not willing to deal with anything. I want him out there to win the football game. Again, he's a player on our team and he made some mistakes today, but I'm hoping he will recognize that and get over it.

Q: This late in the season with the playoffs on the line, how crushing is it to lose?

TC: It's always a crush to lose. It's difficult to lose in those circumstances right there. But we'll find a way to keep fighting, that's what we'll do.

On one hand, you have Coughlin the teacher, who wants Beckham to learn his lesson, but then you have Coughlin the NFL coach, who kept Beckham out there because Coughlin wanted to "win the football game."

Coughlin and the Giants are in the middle of a heated division race, so it's no shock that Coughlin refused to pull his best offensive player during a huge game.

Beckham's antics could end up costing the Giants, though, if he's suspended for either of New York's final two games (at Minnesota, vs. Philadelphia).
