If one of Baylor, OSU, or TCU come out of November unscathed...don't see how they won't be the #2 seed.

OU would be a solid 3/4.

I don't know about seedings, but I think you are probably right that any one of those four teams that wins out earns a spot in the playoff, despite not having to win a conference championship game.

I guess it just all depends. That Texas loss on OU really hurts. I think they end up 8-4 in this scenario. One of TCU or Baylor will be 10-2 (at best) and the other 11-1 (at best).

Clemson would have a win over 11-1 ND (I think they win out), and they're already at 9 so they'll likely be top 5 (if not in the playoff). Then 10-2 FSU and probably 11-2 Duke/UNC. I think ND would be the highest ranked win for either team and OU would be the lowest.

It's hard to project. Wins over all 3 of TCU, Baylor, and OU should trump wins over ND and FSU, plus Clemson doesn't have a great CCG matchup to bolster their resume. People generally think the B12 is tougher than the ACC (probably rightfully so), so I think Okie St might be able to make the leap. It's anyone's guess really.

Another interesting thought is what if Ohio State also goes unbeaten. They would have signature wins over Michigan, MSU, and Iowa in the CCG.

So, assuming for this example LSU also goes unbeaten, you have a BCS nightmare scenario where there is an unbeaten LSU, Ohio State, Clemson, and Okie St. Only 2 get in. On the flip side, this works out perfectly for the CFP scenario.

I don't think Okie Light would pass Clemson. They'd be 3 though, I think.
They would be undefeated as well and have beaten more higher ranked opponents, not to mention conference strength perception.

I have them both as having beaten 3 ranked teams by season's end, and that's assuming Oklahoma would still be ranked at 8-4.

Yeah that would be a trainwreck. I think it would end up being LSU and OSU. If OSU runs the table they're the consensus #1, as michigan is gonna be top 15, and both MSU and Iowa could be top 5 by the time OSU plays them, and if they're both 11-1 at the end of the season, they're both likely top 10. LSU gets in because, SEC. I think the strength of the ACC plus Okie State's already low spot on the totem poll would keep them both out.

I would think so too. The wailing and gnashing of teeth around the nation would be thunderous.

The B12 not having a conference title game is overblown. The B12 plays everyone in conference so they have a true champ most years. Not sure if they did this year's schedule on purpose or not but it's genius. Having TCU, OK ST, OU, BAYLOR all play each other the last few weeks is like having their very own conference tournament. Keeps the league at the forefront in November

How could they anticipate those 4 being the best and make the schedule accordingly?

Not sure it'd be that hard actually. Conferences schedules are done before every year not years in advance. Most years you should probably have a pretty good idea of who will be your better teams. In a league without a title game it'd behoove them to set the schedule up like that

Kansas State was looking up at 9-4 last year while OSU was only 7-6 last year I dont think anyone anticipated the role reversal here.

Sure, but ok state was probably unintentional ( if they meant to do it,at all ). OK ST and OU always play last game of the year
