Chanel 5 in Ft. Worth has reported that a BBQ restaurant is giving Roogie free food for a lifetime.
The Co. is Heim BBQ and has ordered promotional T shirts supporting Roogie/Rangers. Cool

PED suspensions don't count against the 25 man
I am talking about not being able to replace Roogie on the 25 man while he is suspended. Going short for several games just doesn't seem fair to me. I think the powers that be need to rethink that one. That makes this length of suspension compared to what Bautista got extremely unfair.

Bautista should have received more than one game for sure, hard illegal slide, his aggressive nature after getting beaned, his attempt to get in Odor's face, his balling up his fist to throw a punch BEFORE Odor hit him. He was just as much an aggressor in this brawl as anyone else... Odor just cleaned his clock before he could do the same
For his comments after he deserved at least three games? "I could have injured him if I wanted to." That was chickenshit and proved what he did was intentional.

He basically got rewarded because Roogie was agile enough to get out of the way. Roogie got punished more because Bautista didn't get out of the way.

It has completely worn me out how the media has portrayed little Joey's bat toss into a bat flip. When the damned bat rolls too within 3 feet of the opposing teams dugout, that's MUCH MORE than a GD flip.

He threw that fucking bat in the air 5 feet with both hands and towards the Rangers dugout! Thats much more than a "bat flip". I understand the moment and the excitement, but he also said he totally expected to take one in the ribs. Why the fuck didnt he just take his medicine instead of trying to injure our guy.

Major League Baseball totally fucked these rulings up, BAD! What a bunch of fucking morons!

JB was the one whining plotting his revenge for what he has coming anyways. Then JB wants to escalate but Roogie would have none of that. This incident IMO is on MLB for allowing and even promoting JB and his antics. The bat flip or throw. Yeah pretty much in the face more than celebration and unwritten rules demanded a response but JB won't go for that. He is above that and MLB has done nothing which in some ways is good if you allow players to police. Now they decide to get involved and let JB go with a hand slap. It is pure sorryness. Also to think of size difference. Guess it was the POLITICALLY CORRECT move. Really ticks me off

Ahhh I think the length before they do the restricted list is 25 games

Kyle Lohse went 5.1 innings for Round Rock and gave up 3 runs on 6 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4.

Choo and DeShields each got 2 hits.

At least he missed a few bats and made 5+ innings. Like that they've put DDJ in LF. More natural position defensively

With his arm and his lack of power I think his only "natural" position would be back at 2B. Or maybe a bench player.

They really need to go to a leave the bench rule like basketball if they are truly serious about ending this type of behavior... Otherwise I agree with Rev and say they like the attention and buzz it generates

Wait are you talking about Deshields or Prince?
DeShields. I don't really know if he has a "natural" position. But it did make me laugh to think of Prince playing 2B.

I guess events like this just bring out all the redneck in me, but here's something I've often thought when those bench-clearing-brawls breakout.

If I were in the PB and knew there was someone in their pen I wanted to kick-the-shit out of, why waste all that time and energy running into the scrum? Fights over a lot of times by the time you get there anyway.

And if you really wanted to take on someone, you could have a solid 30 seconds + to have some "quality" one-on-one time before anyone came to the rescue.
