Let EA go ahead and take his one game and be done with it.

But surely Odor is going to appeal the 8 games he got, and thus, he'll be able to play for the immediate future.

Exactly what I would do, also they tend to let teams stagger multiple suspensions so they can adjust the roster accordingly

Bautista should have received more than one game for sure, hard illegal slide, his aggressive nature after getting beaned, his attempt to get in Odor's face, his balling up his fist to throw a punch BEFORE Odor hit him. He was just as much an aggressor in this brawl as anyone else... Odor just cleaned his clock before he could do the same

If Bautista would have just gotten up and trotted back to the dugout nothing happens. Instead he turned around and came back towards Odor.

Punk thought he was gonn keep his faux tough guy persona going, but he didn't know if you bow up to Roogie you better be ready to box. Roogie taught him a lesson.

I dunno, Odor was probably chirping at him pretty good... No too many people just pop up and walk away from that... but the body of his work suggests more than one game for sure

Just b/c he got his ass whooped doesn't lessen his role in the brawl

That's exactly what happened. Bautista got less punishment because he got his ass whooped. Odor got punished more for being quicker on the draw.

Yeah, he will think twice about jumping right up and coming towards someone like he is a tough guy.

In fact the Blue Jays as a whole took a big hit in being tough guys. The Rangers showed they are not someone to mess with and not just because of Odor.

Nope. Moreland, Desmond, Dyson, and Elvis all showed people you don't fuck with our guys.

JD earlier mentioned if a player is suspended then you cannot replace them on the roster. Now with Elvis gone one game Rangers play with a 23 man roster tonight. Ok Alberto covers down on one middle inf position. Who covers down on the other? Rua? Bush? :)
I am pretty sure we replaced Cruz when he was suspended didn't we?

Can we send Odor down and let him serve the suspension while in the minors?

PED suspensions are placed on the restricted list and can be replaced on the active roster with a 40 man player
I can see not replacing a guy suspended for a game or two, but it doesn't seem fair for longer suspensions to make the team go short-handed. Of course, MLB gets a whole lot of things wrong so it shouldn't surprise me.

Actually I'm not sure that's the case but I would imagine it would have to be, bc that player has to be reinstated to the active roster within 30 days of being re-instated, so theat would require the DFAing of someone upon that players return from suspension

You're talking about having to go forward short-handed with 39 players as opposed to 40 right?
