Then play Rua, can't be any worse, stop making excuses for the guy, you trot out a subpar defender if he's giving you something with the bat, and I don't see his bat as an improvement over anyone's
stop making excuses for the guy
no clue what you're referring to there, pal
Mazara bails DDJ and Profar out for some really piss-pure play/decision making. WOW.....Keep in mind this kid, and he is a kid, is 22.
The other two are kids too, to be fair.
Going into today's game the bottom three in our lineup overall have hit .172. They mentioned that on the radio broadcast.Don’t look at the bottom 3rd of the rangers lineup this year. It’s not pretty.
Usually always have 3 guys at the bottom hitting under .200
Maz in May is hitting 324 with 7 HRs and 12 RBIs."For the record your honor. Mazara is 23, and both DDJ and Profar are 25."
I would have to agree with everybody that they look really bad at the plate. The Nunez experiment needs to come to an end.Going into today's game the bottom three in our lineup overall have hit .172. They mentioned that on the radio broadcast.
I will never understand the affinity with Nunez/lack of patience with Rua combination from Rangers management this year.I would have to agree with everybody that they look really bad at the plate. The Nunez experiment needs to come to an end.
At our High A level we have a 3B who is having a very impressive season. He is currently slashing .319/.373/.566.
This is what Scott Lucas had to say about him today.
"Charles Leblanc batted .440/.548/1.040 last week, which I'm going to go out on a limb and say is pretty good. Leblanc hit four homers in that span, equal to his 2017 total in 71 games. He had a .359 slugging percentage entering the season. I've been asked about whether he'll be promoted soon. I don't see the rush, as he's not old for his current level (still just 21 for another month) and had experienced only middling success at the plate before recently. Let him enjoy it for a while. On the other hand, Frisco has no one blocking him. The currently injured Yanio Perez has played there a little, but getting him and Leblanc at-bats into the same lineup shouldn't present any trouble."
Time will tell but Maz is willing to go with the pitch and has a controlled swing. Gallo is trying to knock the crap out of it. But I do think he could at least have at least a 250 average (I hope anyway) with 40 HRs on a consistent basis. Maz I expect a 290-300 average but am unsure of his power as this is really surprising me of late. We know he is a consistent 20 HR hitter but it is looking like 30 is very possible. Just hope he does not fall in the love with the HR and gets himself out of sync. Based on his demeanor so far I don't think he will. He will take what is given him.At some point later this year or early next year I think we will see Joey Gallo coming into his own the way Mazara has this season. Nomar has about 500 more PA than Joey in his career and I expect Joey to be able to put things together like Nomar has.
Yeah, Maz is a lot more polished at this point. Last year at this time though Maz was hitting .230 with an OPS of .676. I am just hoping for and anticipating Joey making similar strides sometimes within his next 500 PA or so.Time will tell but Maz is willing to go with the pitch and has a controlled swing. Whose looking forward to seeing Lincecum on the mound?
