Thank Gawd.
At our High A level we have a 3B who is having a very impressive season. He is currently slashing .319/.373/.566.
This is what Scott Lucas had to say about him today.
"Charles Leblanc batted .440/.548/1.040 last week, which I'm going to go out on a limb and say is pretty good. Leblanc hit four homers in that span, equal to his 2017 total in 71 games. He had a .359 slugging percentage entering the season. I've been asked about whether he'll be promoted soon. I don't see the rush, as he's not old for his current level (still just 21 for another month) and had experienced only middling success at the plate before recently. Let him enjoy it for a while. On the other hand, Frisco has no one blocking him. The currently injured Yanio Perez has played there a little, but getting him and Leblanc at-bats into the same lineup shouldn't present any trouble."
We do the shit out of it with relievers. Starters... not so much.
Yes, CIF prospects have been fairly rare for us over the last few years. Even Moreland wasn't expected to do much at the big league level when he was coming up. Other than Gallo and Guzman, Olt was about it since Davis.I like that he plays 3B
Don't forget Cashner. His ERA improved almost 2 runs with us compared to the year before. We failed to take advantage of that at the trade deadline though. You're right, and I was remiss......We've done rather well in getting a lot from what was thought as nothing in the BP. At least we've had some very good success stories there, for sure.......However, starters 'not so much.' Really? Not SOOOOO much?
To date, is Colon our 'biggest'.....somewhat of pun intended.....success story?
1B Andretty Cordero is having a good offensive season at Down East as well.I like that he plays 3B
Sure would fill better if we could resolve the catcher position.Robinson has some hip soreness and has been scratched from tonight's lineup.
Sorry, I should have clarified. It is Drew Robinson. He is going on the DL.Sure would fill better if we could resolve the catcher position.
Odor and then Beltre are going to be activated. We are going to have to send two down. What to do. I really like IKF getting developmental time but he would be used sparingly if kept at MLB level. Plus he could maybe catch some in AAA
I think we will see a lot more of IKF but not so sure about Rua.Probably bye bye to IKF and Rua
Nunez isn't that good but I don't think he can be sent down
They will just not admit he is terrible.I think Tom jinx'd Moore in the 2nd
