I think I was going by how he played late in the game.

But honestly Micah was gassed late because of how stupid McCarthy is. They needed to help the defense by running the ball effectively in the second half.
I think I read Micah played over 90% of the snaps. I can't blame the team for doing so because we just don't have anyone else to play, but we all know that many snaps at DE wears him down as he is only around 240lbs. I think at least until Tank comes back it just needs to continue but I would love to see us rest him more

As far as Lance vs Rush - i see a little Deja Vu happening here and oddly enough it happened on Parcells watch. Testeverde had been our QB all year. Fans were dying to see Drew Henson. Thanksgiving Day it happened . The Tuna went with Henson only to watch him play horrible , until he decided to bench Henson and go back to Vinny. Vinny led us to victory that day and was QB1 the remainder of the season.
Or - go back a little further. 1988 - the team was going nowhere and fans (as well as the leering press) were screaming for Landry to start Kevin Sweeney. So he did. Against the Vikings. Lost 43-3 after which Landry said “Well, I think we’re done with that”.

Good times.

Um, Here's the thing about that Bro...Cooper Rush has started the last two weeks and we lost 34-6 and 34-10. Averaging 8 points a game. So even if that worst case scenario happened(which we won't know till we try), is 43-3 that much worse than 34-6?

between the two Qbs. Rush is the better Qb so if the Coaches are playing to win still & not for seeing players for next year. Rush will be the starter.
I do think as soon as MacCarthy admits this is his last year. No need to fight to save your job. They can then move on to Lance to see what he has or doesnt have. Which I am now looking forward too. Because if we want until next season to do this. the QB room will be more of the same.
If we get a good look & give Lance an honest amount of time in game. We can then move on from him (unless he surprises everyone) & also upgrade the back up QB spot since we can go to a young rookie or whatever at back up. Moving on from both Rush & Lance.

If Lance doesnt get his shot this year. I believe we keep Rush for just in case (like this year) while waiting to see how Lance turn out.

So in a long about way. I am saying I agree with you. I want to see Lance this year, so we can change the entire QB room next year behind Dak.

That's a good point. I can see Rush this week. Past that, I can't I understand it. We gave up a 4th that could have been a good RB and Lance is gonna walk after this season. A 4th round pick for a 2 year 3rd string QB. At least let him play 5-6 games to see if he is worth keeping or maybe recoup a comp pick

The 76 TB Bucs went 0-14. Even they didn't trail by 20 plus in 6 straight home games. That's where we are
Thanks for putting that spin on our current team.

How do I even ... I mean ... the abuse I get here in Detroit is overwhelming ...

But no I am not jumping on the lions bandwagon, even for my wife and her family.

The offensive highlight reel for this year is several long field goals and that 64 yard TD by Turpin. Other than that they suck. They possibly could have been more competitive if they Fired McCarthy a month ago. The play design and play calling on offense is not good.

The Commanders are going after Rush. They know his noodle arm is no threat. It could be very ugly. I going to say Commanders 45 Cowboys 13. Can the Cowboys even muster 13 points though? Rush has multiple turnovers is what I see happening .

It not going to get any better on offense this year. The Giants going to be getting after Rush on Thanksgiving. I think the Cowboys lose this game. Giants 27, Cowboys 12 . Rush throws a pick six and fumbles leading to another Giants score.

No QB, no running game, no pass protection, defense can't stop the run. Recipe for disaster.

I got Mason Graham on my mind. Hunter,Cam Ward, Sanders,Jeanty etc. this team may get a top 5 pick.

as a fan of pro football, I'm all in on Dan Campbell's Lions.

really not many other NFC teams.
Always Cowboys first, but our team is a dead duck halfway through the season. I'm pulling for the Lions(whose offense reminds me of the 90s Cowboys, great OL, can pound the rock and make big plays in the passing game) and the Bills. At least I would prefer that to a Damn Chiefs-Eagles SB

We are sunk, starting to think forever. My only hope is that Jerry OD's on Viagra, finally finds the nutsack to admit he needs help, let's McClay make all football decisions and hire the coach he wants(Ben Johnson works) OR, hired BB and gives him full authority over his roster, but McClay handles the draft and FA and gets him whatever he needs. Those two scenarios are the ONLY way I see this team making an NFCCG, let alone a SB anytime soon. Both have about as much chance of happening as the Easter Bunny staying over for breakfast after dropping off the eggs

We got lions sweaters in at costco. I swear we sold them last year but in the ugly sweater category. People are going nuts for the stuff.

We also got in Lions wine and tequila.

They are going to be just a peach to live around. Last year it was uofm. Same fans

He could help the fan base tremendously by saying, I will no longer be the GM of the Cowboys. Just that simple statement would make alot of fans feel better.

Mcclay and The draft has not even been that great lately. When you draft Players like Kelvin Joseph,Nashon Wright and they totally bust. Mazi and Schoon are also busts for where they were taken.

One could hope the crypt keeper just don't wake up one day very soon and Stevie hires a real GM.

I don't put that on McClay myself. The Cowboys used to sign legit FA's to fill holes and then pick the best players available and were able to hit on stars. Then we started stripping starters and role players from the team, stopped signing FA's except junk, and started drafting for need instead of BPA. Mazi(miss) was for need. Schoony(doing ok but not 2nd round ok) need, Guyton, need, Lynch need. We needed a RB but spent our 4th on a 3rd string QB we are never going to play.

The list is longer on the busts we have taken. Seems we are lucky in the draft and not good. Tristin and Taco both blew chunks
