Always said that Rivers is one of those players that you hate if he's on the opposing team, but love if he's on your team. Still, as good as Rivers has been, I think my reaction to the possibility of him replacing Manning is consistent with the thread title.

Lol!.....at first. Really isn`t as far-fetched as one might think. Still I think when Manning does hang it up and if Oz isn`t the guy, Denver really does need to find a more athletic Qb and Rivers doesn`t fit that mode either. I think even Brady can run better than Rivers Still,Elway does like bringing in those `ol guys with juice left in them to go out with a bang if they can.

I think we could definitely do a lot worse. It would be very hard to cheer for him but like was said he is one of those guys that you hate if he is on another team but he could definitely be a guy that I could see Bronco fans getting behind after seeing his intensity for a while. Not sure he is the best fit for what Kubiak likes to do but we would be hard pressed to find better.

I'm still on the idea of Garrett Grayson at this point though in this upcoming draft. I don't think the Broncos are as sold on Osweiler as they keep saying and Grayson is a guy coming from a pro system (so won't take as long to adjust to the pro game) and comes with a decent arm, competitive attitude, and is highly accurate.

Dang. Even staying up on CSU football somewhat, I didn't realize Grayson had those kinds of stats the past couple years. Decent size too......could certainly be worth a look.

I could see him being our 2nd round pick. Get a year to sit behind Manning and see what he can do when given the chance. If that is the case I'm hoping we find some trade value for Osweiler as I just don't like the idea of us keeping 3 quarterbacks on the active roster.

Also yeah he is one of those guys that you just don't realize how good he was at least stats wise because he never really was bragged about much. HE was the 2nd most efficient quarterback in college football this past year with Mariota being the only one to beat him and Mariota had a lot more talent and an offense geared towards putting up Star Wars numbers. I honestly would put him as my one quarterback in this draft that I think could thrive in the NFL.

Throw in just looking at this past year he lost his top RB, OL, and a few others where people thought CSU would have a little bit of a down year yet they went out and proved everybody wrong and I think Grayson was a big part of that.

I'd rather give a new player a shot than bring in Phillip Rivers. Maybe I would change my mind if and when it happened but it's sickening to even consider it at this point. He has been the most hated quarterback in the AFC West for Broncos fans for years. I think most of us would rather see a young franchise quarterback under center than continue down the older, re-tread course. My two cents today, with my right as a fan to change my mind in the future, if it suits my fancy!

Rivers is one of those guys that would be a fan favorite for any team he played for and hated by everyone else. I make fun of him more than anyone but I remember the guy playing in the playoffs with a torn ACL. While I want to see what OZ has, I have to admit I would be curious about him playing for the Broncos but I certainty understand fans not wanting any part of that.

The only thing I would really not like would be another immobile qb. Always have respected the guy myself. Never whined ( after the game) and always gave credit to his teammates and the oppossing team in interviews. Yeah, he bitched and moaned to get penalties during games but he was always solid guy afterwards and tough as they come when playing hurt.

I would hate Rivers going to Denver. I am hoping for Denver to disappear after Peyton. I think Rivers on this tem would be tough. I understand about the division rivalry stuff, but c'mon, he is in his prime and Peyton may be done.....

He would certainly bring the fire this team has been missing. I just don't know if it will happen. I think Manning is done after this season but I am not sure where the broncos go from there.
