Certainly a bit of a head scratcher. As things stand now Bernier will be a 3rd liner. Cam will most likely be a healthy scratch most nights. 4th line of Barch-Carter-Gionta? I can live with that.

About the signing, I don't mind. Toughness is important for a team to be successful. We saw this the past playoffs.

There is nobody really left to sign. Forget Semin. If people think Kovy can be lazy, wait til you see Semin on a nightly basis.

Would you stop with that nonsense? Lou has basically nailed every move for the past 2 1/2 seasons. Trading for and re-signing Kovy. Signing Hedberg, A-Train, Tallinder. Getting rid of Pando/Langs/White. Signing Bernier and trading for Poni and Zids this past season. Not sure he could have done anything more than he did to retain Parise. Even Cup who is the biggest Lou hater around could admit he's made some solid moves of late, the Parise departure not included.

Lou has made some great moves...zid and poni are great examples. But not locking up key plauers long term when we can is a real issue. Lock neids up to 6 years 2 years before he hits the market. Same with gomez same with Parise. Lock these guys up when they are still cheap.

Pando and white u mention but Lou did give them insanely bad contracts
