The problem with incomplete polls in the internet is that the results and commentary affect public opinion at large. Polls are not to be biased, they ask questions to be answered - they give the opportunity for many people of diverse opinions to choose an answer, they don't or shouldn't try to persuade public opinion, because that type of behavior constitutes cheating in its most primitive form.

I intended to have a smart ass reply to your smart ass reply (which was well played by the way) and my keyboard crapped out on me. By the time I got it going again I forgot what my reply was. I sure it was pretty good tho.

Premature ejaculation?

I'm glad I don't have that problem.

And this is what happens when you try to have a serious discussion here on SportsHoopla. Gotta love this place.

Anyway, to the OP's point, polls are, as you say, only a tool to find out what percentage iof people are leaning what way and should not be used as proof that one side or the other is "right".

I think it was John Oliver I heard talking about a poll that was constantly quoted on the news stating that around a quarter of Americans do not believe in climate change. As he said "all this proves is that one in four Americans are wrong about something".
