I think every Husker fan on here has congratulated Wisky on the game and said they beat them outright even if Martinez hadn't melted down.

This is a completely separate subject but if you feel better making it because we lost, go ahead but what you going to blame it on next year when Wilson is gone? What happened to and around an OSU fan is not class. Go ahead and talk shit but kids and old ladies (most ladies really) are off limits. That isn't just classless it is pathetic.

The last line says it all. Football is a spectator sport for all ages and yes it is only a small segment of the fans but it is all fans I have seen so far that says "I don't agree with it but they wouldn't come to the games if they couldn't do that". It's amazing how many other schools sell tickets without this.

I know well why we lost. It was Wisconsin out playing and out coaching us. No whining here but that has nothing to do with this. I don't hate your program, I don't hate your fans and the only conclusion that I came up with is the actions described are classless and the fans that allow them so students will come to game are pathetic. And I never said anyone said it did not happen. I said it is classless as others have. That seems to be the point of contention. Whether your student section has class or not and if the rest the fans allow it so that the students will show up .... well that is the pathetic part.

As for nobody getting hurt? What about the old ladies who had to endure the taunting? Or the young impressionable child who may have gotten the impression that cussing at other people is cool? Or the guy that shelled out good money to see a football game having it ruined by this behavior?
No harm there, just some kids having fun at their expense, right? Key words being at their expense. That means it cost them something.

Personally most times I have gone to a game I have taken my children and well honestly your stadium is not the venue for children. Take that what it's worth. If the only way you can understand why I would feel that way is to make about who won or lost the game then do what you must.

And I responded to an article that was posted once to respond by giving my opinion. You might see that as "how focused I am on it" but I think that's what people do on chat boards.

Another Update: Barry sent out another e-mail saying that 2 student ticket holders will be selected at random and given free transportation, lodging, and tickets to our bowl game for each of the remaining home games where the ESFU chant does not occur. This means six bowl fantasy tickets will be given out if we "behave".

If I win those tickets, I'll take back everything bad I ever said about your whiny fans.

The funny thing is the title of this thread, compared to the actual story....which is the student section.

The other funny thing is....none of this shit is even new. Barry tried to get the student section to stop swearing a decade ago. Same result. "We don't really think swearing is a big deal."

i think this is because they are used to it. we nebraska fans are not used to that type of environment. mizzou, kansas, kstate, dare i say it even texas while annoying and sometimes retorted...are for the most part, pretty classy fan bases. theres that state that starts with a" C" and ends with "we-like-to-piss-on-your-car-and-key-it"....thats right im talking about Colorado-we-like-to-piss-on-your-car-and-key-it but thats a different story.

Those fans are sort of whiny. The difference is that they are complaining for more legitimate reasons (i.e. not swearing around young kids). The thing with you guys that I thought was that some of you acted like you were personally offended by the Asshole or ESFU chants. I completely understand the complaints from guys like HuskerinSECland that swearing around kids or even old women isn't justified. I've been hearing those complaints for years. The reason I call you guys whiny is that you have some people in their 20s-40s claiming that they appalled and personally insulted by college kids swearing around you. That complaint is not legitimate and is very whiny IMO.
