I am sure Dr. Tom handled it just fine Brasky... and Wisconsin will learn how to handle success the more they have it... If Alverez was with Dr. Tom on the cart...I would bet he heard some of this... so let Barry deal with his own house.
No worries... from what I have heard... they were not near as bad as some of those places we have played and had beer thrown on fans/players or spit or balloons full of piss... and such...
Just saying...
If a few kids have to hear swears to make a rivalry, i'm with fine with that.
Funny how this comes up after Nebraska loses...I bet this wouldn't have been brought up if they won. What a bunch of pussies.
I usually don't participate in these things, because I like to actually watch the game (unlike many students) and am not defending it, but people don't realize that many of these students wouldn't be going to these games if it weren't for the drinking before and after the game, ESFU chant, jump around etc. For some it is probably a factor on why they chose to come to the UW. I and most season ticket holders have become accustomed to these things.
And to finish up the rant, if the A.D. was serious about this letter, they should consider not playing Build me up buttercup, Sweet caroline and jump around on the PA.
I am an Ohio State alumnus, & when I took my 12 year old son to the Badgers- Buckeyes game last year, the fans were reprehensible. They chanted "f you, a-holes" at us, & repeatedly pushed my son "on accident" until I switched him seats, & then they pushed me. They were completely vulgar to the three older ladies who had driven from Columbus, with one telling them, "Sit down & shut the f up, you old prunes" & "quit bi@%$ing & go the f home" when they commented that the game hadn't turned out as they had hoped. The ladies weren't loud or rude, they were sweet little old ladies who came to see one's great nephew play. Don't get me wrong.... Ohio State fans can be brutal as well. You mix alcohol, kids, & football, & it is a volatile combination. But these Badger fans were SO far out of line that I decided then & there that I would never set foot back in Camp Randall. I don't let my child act like that, or talk that way. There is no way I will pay for him to see that behavior.
I'll be in Lincoln for the game loaded with piss balloons to share with my fan base and yours. I've already started pissing in balloons as of last week.
