Well, you guys must have complained in unison, because today every student ticket holder got an e-mail from Barry telling us to quit the vulgarity. The e-mail was filled with quotes from Nebraska fans. I'm glad that you guys are active enough to send out all these e-mails, but the reality is that I think it will backfire. If we meet in the CCG, the coasties and frat boys will be swearing nonstop at you. To be honest, though, I think the vulgarity issue has the potential to start up our two teams as actual rivals. Like JJM, I think that is pretty cool. If a few kids have to hear swears to make a rivalry, i'm with fine with that. Obviously, you all will disagree, but I guess I shouldn't care since we are rivals now.

Oh, trust me, I am. I think it's awesome that over the last decade or so, we have sort of moved beyond Minnesota as our premier rival to Ohio State and now Nebraska. Obviously, we still hate Minnesota most, but I love the budding rivalries against national powers. It seems like only a matter of time until we'll be considered a national power as well.

That's why I like this whole "Angelic Nebraska" v. "Big Bad Wisconsin" debate. We may be hated, but at least we're starting to become nationally relevant. If Bielema can make our program the sort of program for players that play with a bad boy chip on their shoulder, I have no problem with that. I love Urlacher for that, and i'm sure that we'd be able to get the Suhs of the world with that image.
