Still have a shot at the 6 seed. Doubt we'll get there but it's not out of the question with the way Iowa and OSU are playing. Also need to beat MD, which hasn't looked that good either the last couple.

Curry injury might be blessing.

Matz is simply a more impactful player right now. Borderline offensive guy couldn't even take his warm ups off lately.

He's nothing special but very necessary.

It will be nice to have a somewhat consistent line up moving forward. Sucks to see him go down, but now the team can just move forward and not play the unknown. I also think Matz is a good matchup against Purdue given their size of Haarms.

Yeah thats true too.

I just like his size. Helps us when Coffey and Co dribble into trouble. And he has more length on D. Curry just gets posted everytime

Well whatever he did must be pretty bad if Holtmann was willing to risk a tourney bid. If they lose the next 2 they're in real trouble

When is Lunardi going to finally put Minnesota ahead of Ohio State in his bracketology? Minnesota has twice as many quality wins. Ohio State has been horrible for 3 months now. How much weight can beating Cincinnati the first game of the season hold?

My guess is that he will when he updates on Friday. Their resumes were almost identical heading into the week, after the results this week, Minnesota has a slight lead now. I'd expect Minnesota to be seeded higher come Friday.

Glad I missed the game . Ultimately for this team it boils down to making shots . When they're not making shots it perneates every other part of their game . The good thing about that is they're really just a half of good shooting away from being fine but the bad thing is it shows poor mental toughness which pretty much makes any real run in the tourney impossible

Spartan fan here. I barely check this thread, doesn't seem active outside of a few. UM fans in general tend to not show up until after the fact, and only after wins.

But, hey, glad to win the B1G, but the ceiling for the season was really limited after Langford went down, then again when Ward broke his hand.

A conference title is a consolation prize for most Spartan fans that had big expectations at the beginning of the year.

@Edonidd @SpartyNash13 and @7Samurai13 have been on the bball bball board in the past I believe.

Not many MSU, Michigan or OSU fans migrate to the bball board, unfortunately.

Gonna be honest... I've become more of a hockey fan the past several years, and it's cut down on my bball watching.

The basketball teams are better lately, but it's not like the football programs are going away. Obviously more fun when both schools are good at both sports.

Beilein does deserve a lot more love in Ann Arbor, he is 10x more accomplished as Harbaugh.

Yeah I've piped in a few times, but when it sometimes goes a week or more without any responses I stop checking the board. So I end up not responding if somebody does ever make a comment. It's a self perpetuating cycle.

Anyways I was avidly watching the games today, but like when I want to talk about many of my other hobbies I go elsewhere for that these days. I usually join the general bball chat during tourney time, but i probably only watch 20 ish games the whole regular season, and then about triple that from now to championship Monday.
