I think historically, most conferences had/have a dominant team, with other teams moving in and out of 2nd place. Sometimes, some conferences had a couple of really good teams for extended periods of time.

In the BCS/playoff period, SEC has had Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, and Tennessee win titles. Georgia has played in one against Alabama that went into overtime.

The ACC and Big12 have had more than 1 team win it and the Pac12 has had 1 team win it and another in the title game. The B1G has been the worse Power 5 league for depth in the modern era.

I remember just 3 years ago Georgia had an OT battle with Bama in the title game. Florida State also won a title only 6 years ago and was at an Elite level until 2 years ago. That is far more diversity than the B1G which is Ohio State and ......

Fuck off. Auburn has played in the national title game twice in 10 years and won one. Mazhan is 3-4 vs Saban so there has been at least two teams for quite sometime.

Clemson is the only team that can claim they've done better.
