TSN article says the plane is only from 1990. Younger actually than the fleet average of several of the major US airlines.

Don't want to jump to conclusions, but probably maintenance moreso than age.

True, pretty sure this has been an issue in the past.

Belarus Hockey Federation, Russian Emergency Ministry and Belarusian news agencies all now confirm Ruslan Salei's death.

His wife just recently gave birth to a baby this past offseason. He took a few days off during this past season with the Wings to be with her when she gave birth.

Just such a sad, sad day.
