Agreed, if he does break the records then there is no other choice... But what if he doesnt?? is there really no other competition for the award???

Who ? Wilson ? Brees ? It goes to a QB unless an RB or WR has an off the charts year and plays for a team that makes the playoffs. None of them are really close to that. Neither of those guys are very close to him statistically. Unless he really craps the bed the last 2 games, it's his. He doesn't need to throw another TD. That would be gravy.

That's executive of the year you're making points for, not coach of the year. The Chiefs underachieved last season, but did anyone really think they'd be this good? I thought they'd win around 8 games, with 10 being the most if everything went right. Instead they're tied with Denver for the best record in the AFC. I just think you have to reward them for that.
