Diaz has thrown a ton of pitches lately.

We need to do him a favor and get this team some runs to avoid a save situation. We made the right moved putting him in that spot, but let's not waste him by burning him out. A save situation should go to the bartender over the next two days, but hopefully it isn't necessary.

Yeah I agree. He should get a few days off.

One thing the bullpen has going for it is closing experience. Bartender, Storen and Cishek all have closing experience so there is no need to burn out Diaz.

Just heard Cishek is on the 15 day DL with a left hip labrum tear, which of course is not a 15 day injury if it's legit. That will keep him out for the rest of the season if that's what it really is.

Hmm..Kinda convenient timing for Cishek to get an injury. Makes you wonder how close to coming back some of the other guys on the DL are.

That's what matches best with the described injury, yet Shannon Drayer just said he expects to return shortly after the DL stint is up. It's either a made-up injury to give him a break after these last 2 bad outings, or they're just reluctant to declare him done for the year.

Would be nice, but there's been so many times this year that the M's were either up 2-0 in a 3 game series or 2-1 in a 4 game series and had a chance to sweep or win the respective series by taking the last game and they lose it more often than not, so I'm not getting my hopes up.
