12th year is a charm.

When does 1 finally realize that maybe he is why you have a revolving door at OC? That maybe his Oline really isn't motivated to help him because Cutler doesn't really care himself?

Bears need to get that '85 type defense back, run the ball and find a QB that won't make mistakes. I grew up in Illinois. I remember Sweetness, Jimmy Mac, Willie gualt, fridge, dent, suey, duerson...

Bears need some D and to bring the hammer

Howard has some power though and is very good at breaking tackles. I think he could be very good like lynch was. Maybe not as good, but Lynch wasn't very elusive either.
When you get the end zone view of howard, either end zone, he gets thru little slits in the line, the places Langford tries to go around or gets brought down with an arm tackle if he goes thru. That is the main difference between a back that can run thru holes and a back that can get thru the commotion at the line. I have not seen a back in a bears uniform in some time that can slither thru some of these slits. Thats the difference with Howard.
Bears might really have something if they let Forte leave in style and had him as the third down back.

That rarely works in today's NFL without an elite QB.

As big of a douche bag @BsGenius is, he has been almost flawlessly right in skimming through his posts. So, I have a few questions for you Bs....

1. If Allen and Garrett are gone, who would you take? The DE out of Tennessee? The Safety out of LSU? The OT from Alabama?
2. Who on the Oline needs to be replaced? Can long rotate to LT and Whitehare take over at LG? Is Sitton washed up?
3. What do you think of Floyd? I have liked what I have seen, but think he needs to add some weight.
4. What out Trevathon and Freeman? Are they worth what we paid them to play ILB?
5. Are there any young QBs you would either draft or bring in to groom behind Cutler? What if Cutler goes, do you see any FAs or trades that are worth bringing in? Guys like Romo, Rivers, and Cousins might look good here. I'm not too high on Jimmy G.

The genius shall respond.

1. This would be the worst cast scenario. The only QB worthy of first round is Trubisky, though even he would be a reach at #3. Only option at this point is to trade down but I wouldn't be happy about it.
2. Basically you can never have too many bodies at oline. I think Long should go to LT for sure.
3. I like Floyd and he turned out to be exactly what we wanted, a pass rusher. But obviously putting on weight and being stout against the run has been a slight disappointment. But overall this was a fine pick.
4. I like both LBs especially Trevathon. Good solid pickups. The alternatives would have been a disaster.
5. Like i said Trubisky. But in my perfect draft Cutler stays, and we get either Allen or Garett. Cutler can and will win behind a good oline. Not interested in any other FA QBs, they would all be reaching.

You sure? He did have better stats his rookie year than Walter....

Don't waste my time with irrelevant stats. This means nothing. There are a lot of crap RBs over the years with better rookie numbers than Walter too.

I have to admit, this is an excellent (almost bsgenius like) observation of Howard and one that i already pointed out as the lone positive attribute of Howard. Good job.

No,no we can not...........And changing of the oc`s is not a reason.........Once you`ve been playing qb as long as he has,a qb should already know how to run offenses in any coordinator`s scheme...........it`s a lame excuse.
I`ve never seen a coordinator call as many interceptions as he gives up.........
He`s also lousy at hitting recievers in stride.......How many coordinators call them type of plays?
He`s just another name on a long list of failed qbs we`ve had...............Time for him to go.

and as far as drafting one? Or one of the de you talked about?..............I will wait till I see what players we sign during free agency and then wait for the combine to start before I actually think about who I`d like us to draft...........

Umm no no no you birdbrain. The OC is a huge factor in whether a QB will succeed. What are you talking about? It's not a lame excuse, it's likely one of the best reasons.

Keep adding to that list of insightful, provocative posts you've been generating you idiot.

It's a sports forum dipshit, not a theology forum.

How's this for insight? Some of your "genius" prediction here on SportsHoopla?

1)Stephen Paea would go on to be a stud for Washington, and that the Bears really fucked up there.

2)Shea McClellin will be a stud, and our best LB now that he's moved to the middle.

3)And my personal favorite, Hester will suck at WR. Oh wait, there is no such post here on Sportshoopla until AFTER the fact. Even though we all know, NOBODY on here EVER said he would be a beast anyway, so even if you did predict that somewhere else...BFD.

And really, let's be honest, do expect people on here to get into some complex, riveting discussion with you, when you show up once a year to tell everyone that they are fucking morons, while self-proclaiming yourself a genius?

I stand by my original assessment from 3 fucking years ago, that you are a narcissistic douche-nozzle, not worthy of much more than a good old fashioned Go Fuck Yourself comment.

Keep grasping at straws idiot maybe you'll stop drowning. My predictions go long before this board as anybody here can tell you and my predictions stand conservatively at 95%. If i'm such an idiot i don't know why you can't ignore me. I must be so riveting. I've never seen you so active on this board.

Thing about being a genius is, i'm an idiot magnet.

Hmmm...let's see, I'm no mathematician, but 44,000 posts seems like a little more than 73.

See ya next year dick-garage.

Meh,its no use............Jay Cutler could be plugged into Tom brady`s situation....Where doi you think the Pats would go from there?

Put Jay in Rodger`s place, where would the Pack be?

..............just what I thought............

No one is saying Cutler is at Tom Brady's level. I'm merely saying your statement that the OC doesn't matter that much is insane.

Who would you target trading down?

Only in this scenario would i be okay with trading down and getting Trubisky. However, figuring out exactly where he'll land is too tricky. I would trade down and get the best OLine or DLine remaining player.

In other words........You either have the talent to be a qb or you don`t.......you can`t teach talent.

jay is not a hi-level talent qb........NO OC is gonna make him any better.............

How can you say he's not talented? He probably has one of the (if not the most) strongest arms in the game.

But don't take my word for it. Here's an article bashing Cutler yet they still say how talented he is:

"Reflecting on Chicago’s relationship with its ultratalented, undeniably flawed starting quarterback as he likely nears the end of his time with the Bears"

https://theringer.com/jay-cutler-chicago-bears-end-era-628c40442e9c#.v88oa9idw

There is no question he is very talented.
