Always an interesting read to begin with, but i was wondering how the heck chicago fit in 108%. i know there's standing room and what not, but how the heck do you have THAT MUCH standing room? Also, the away stats are intriguing. Rather predictably the Pens and Wings were 1 and 2 on away team attendance average. IMO (and I could be off in assuming this), it makes sense that those two are the well represented on the road. Mostly because those cities have the most transplants by far.

The standing room goes around about 5/6 of the upper part of the united center. I've gotten standing room tickets there before and it is hard to find a spot because of all the people.

it seemed really high to me then I did some more searching and found the true number. I knew they were higher but that number seemed outrageous even for the Leafs. that is why it was bolded then I updated it and it didn't really need a bold.

58 bucks is the average ticket price to go see the Blueshirts!? What dimension did you pull this from?

like I said

assuming that the average price (internet searched) is accurate

there are varying numbers across the internet. I took what seemed reasonable. if you have more accurate information and access to it then please let us know I would be curious

thats probably buying from the team

if you're buying of stubhub or something like that its probably higher...

shit i know if you want to buy a devils ticket you're going to be hard pressed to find any for under 60 in realism. the upper deck is almost always packed its the down lows they have a problem with, tho it improved greatly the past year.

looking at that list it looks like tampa could maybe pull some more if they raised their prices... speaking from a business standpoint of course

supply / demand ... if Tampa increased their prices Im almost certain total attendance would plummet

account for them having a more solid lineup tho, and they've proven before they can sell the place out + standing room.

i'm looking at it more as risk/reward here. with the new fresh lineup coming in, and the reality is they are on no shortage of star powere when you really think about it (stamkos st louis lecavalier hedman gagne) say you bump the tickets up a 2 dollar average, its not much, little enough it should protect your attendance while pulling in more green, and then you hope this new look starts paying dividends

they have always had average ticket prices near the bottom of the league ... even when they sold out in the Tundo days

a more solid lineup doesnt change the state of the Tampa economy

Tampa Bay area ranks among nation's worst in economic recovery - St. Petersburg Times

Attendance figures can be deceiving because a lot of arenas have no standing room. I am always impressed buy how a teams draws on the road. That's more impressive to me. JMO

This past year:
1 Blackhawks
2 Canadiens
3 Red Wings
4 Flyers
5 Flames

2000-01
1 Canadiens
2 Red Wings
