It's very possible with the way Toronto is on the rise and Ottawa becoming somewhat of a powerhouse. If Buffalo and Montreal can stay healthy it isn't too farfetched to not see Boston in it with all the horseshit going on.

That's a big drop for the Rangers Jeff. To be honest I don't see it. I actually think the Rangers will get better because of all the young talent they have. Of course having Lundqvist doesn't hurt.

The Pens & Flyers need help on D. They both also need their goalies to have bounce back years. The Devils will play their system & should make the playoffs. Resigning Parise is a must because they don't have anyone to replace him.

The Isles will be at the cap floor without actually spending cap floor money. Any time they beat their four division rivals will hurt that's team greatly.

Keep in mind that these teams have proven that they can still make the playoffs with average goaltending and defense. Those holes were only shown in the playoffs. If we're talking about getting there, then they aren't big factors. They also may greatly improve with some of the offseason transactions. Flyers had a slight upgrade by grabbing Schenn and the Penguins dumped a lot of salary for presumably at least one strong d-man.

I think Parise drinks the Kool-Aid and signs with New Jersey, the Devils miss the playoffs, Giroux pots 60-70 points in a 2006 Martin St. Louis anomaly kind of way, the Penguins win the division, and the Rangers finish a respectable second or third.
