I know where about 8 of our 11 picks should be allocated to next year. ILBer and Oline. Maybe Zaire is the answer who knows.
And some good meat in middle to stuff runs. I admit, I knew losing M. Jackson was not great but I thought the young guys would fill in adequately. Little suspect so far.

Looks like Walker's injury has really hurt

Randy, I've seen your dispute with CD and won't get drawn into a similar debate with you. It's a non-sequitor because I've been a Siemian supporter all along. I consider Lynch the future of this team, but I have been behind Siemian since he was named starter. You won't find a single call for Lynch from me, even after Siemian was injured, save for the fact I don't want to see an injured player with a shoulder injury playing QB for our team.

Atlanta's explosive offense wasn't the problem. Our defense played well enough to win the game. I do think Siemian, had he been fully healthy likely leads the team to a win. We can only speculate though, not definitively prove. As for going to Davis, I adamantly disagree. Invest in the team's future. Davis is a backup to our backup. As far as third string QBs go, he's as solid as exists in the league. But Lynch is the future of this team whether you like it or not. Not every start is going to be his first start. I think he gets this start against the Chargers and the Broncos will be on a long break before their week 7 MNF game with the Texans. I think Siemian should be ready by then. Hopefully so.

In the mean time, I'll continue to focus on what makes the regulars to this board alike rather than what makes us different. If you want to focus on differences with other Broncos fans on this board, that's fine but leave me out of it. I root for the name on the front of the jersey, not the back.

Go Broncos!
Great analysis and I don't disagree with any of your post. I never said though that I don't think Lynch could or is the future for Denver. I don't think he's ready and don't think it would be to his benefit to have to lead this team to a " repeat " which I've been very bullish on from the start. Trevor looked to me as best chance to pull it off if at all. I knew and know that Lynch needs much more time. I'm not the only one that feels that way regardless of many others " here ". I do respect and am not confident that Davis would be much of improvement over Lynch till Trevor gets back but my point was I think if Lynch struggles from now ( practice ) and 1st half vs SD, that Elway/ Kubes hand might be " forced " to go with Austin. If Trevor is going to miss multiple games then we all better hope that Davis WILL perform good because if Lynch looks like he did today, were in trouble. Let's not forget regardless how many want to say this O-line and running game contributed to Lynch's performance today, Trevor 's dealt with the same supporting cast also as is 4-0. Appreciate your post and always respect your opinions, perspective, and consistency with all your posts.

Thanks, Randy.

I'll just say this: Siemian's first start was not much prettier than Lynch's start today. The Broncos were a missed FG away from losing that game. I don't think it's the end of the Broncos season if Lynch has to pick up another start later this week against the Chargers.

Also, I am on record as saying if the Broncos go to Lynch as their starter they are conceding a repeat. I do think Siemian is our best shot at a repeat, but I don't think we're hosed if Lynch has to make another start. Look at Siemian's progress through his first games. Do you think it's unreasonable to believe Lynch could do the same? I don't.

I'm growing awfully tired of our OL.
They played much better at the start of the season but I feel like we are starting to see the OL of last year come out a bit now.

LB I am not overally concerned about. At least those guys have had their ups. We just need to cover the RB out of the backfield better.

Offense just not looking good today. The line is struggling. It's a shame, too because the defense has looked solid enough for the team to win. I'm not sure if the Falcons defense is just having an unusually good day or if our offense is just having a little setback this week, substituting Lynch for Siemian and all.

IMO, the Falcons D played way over their heads...I really feared the DEN running attack, but the makeshift LB crew played exceptionally well.

On OFC, I felt like ATL would score points, but it was clear the game plan was to attack the ILBs vs the pass...Schraeder gave up one sack to Miller on a really nice spin move, but aside from that...he played really well.

Trust me, ATL winning this game was not expected here in ATL.

You know, when I started reading about all the injuries at LB I actually got a little nervous. You never know when a backup is going to come in and play lights out. It was a good win for the Falcons and they are well on their way to unseating the Panthers from their 3-year reign atop the NFC South.

As for that offensive game plan, it was a solid scheme. Using the RBs against our LBs in coverage worked and I've read the Broncos can expect to see a lot more of that going forward. That's fine, not every offense can pull it off the way the Falcons did.

Good game all around for the Falcons. Now make sure you beat the Chiefs and Chargers too!

At what point do we as fans start to question the talent evaluators for Olinemans?
BB exposed this same weakness RBs vs LBers last year in the Sunday night game with James White vs Danny T and BMarsh.

NFCS...yeah I predicted CAR would come back to the pack, but would still win the DIV...if they lose tonight, they will be in some trouble.

Reynolds (53) and Wheeler (41) and least played a few snaps this year, but (36) had only play S...he did have a lights out game...really seemed to embrace the LB role this week.

But...as most of the Bronco fans have touched on #74 especially and the DEN OL in general kind of let Lynch down in addition to him holding the ball like a lot of rookies do. Beasley (44) was starting to hear the "bust" label a lot hear...3.5 sacks I'm sure has him feeling a lot better about himself.

SD & KC...get both of them at home, maybe...hard to figure the Falcons out on DEF.

Matt Ryan had no fear yesterday and was not intimidated by our D . It did not help that the D seems to start slowly agin giving up yet another 1st qtr TD and getting behind 10-0 with an offense whose game plan looked to be run the ball and punt. Rarely saw Lynch in the shotgun in 1st and 2nd down. To make matters worst, Jones was a non factor. this ass kicking was by others.

9-0 last 9 games. Haven't loss to a NFC opponent since 2011. Hope out road AFCW win streak doesn't come to an end TNF.

Well when Lynch is missing throws left and right you can't really get anything going.

Trevor was basically a rookie on his first start and there was no shortage of whining then and they won ! No matter what Trevors done to this point, you got the Lynch comments from those that scoffed at Trevor being the starter and just can't stand to admit they missed it on " both " so far. I sure hope our

Atlanta has a very explosive offense.Still aside from their RB Coleman who gained 137 receiving yrs vs our nice Lb tandem, the Broncos D held Ryan and Julio and the other wrs in ck. Their D isn't that great. A healthy Trevor would have won this game. Lynch played terrible but it did not surprise me. The whole offense was off sink and I'll bet my life by 2nd qtr the offensive huddle didn't see the calm and poise that Trevor has in Lynchs eyes and that effects the confidence for that offense. I didn't even have to see game and know Lynch held ball too long, panicked on his progressions, etc, and etc and etc. If Trevor can't play for at least two more weeks, Denver will have to go Davis as Qb and quite possibly as early as sometime in this Thursday game. He's not ready. They had to put him in shotgun for most of 2nd half because he looked out of his element behind center. Time to start those prayers for Trevor to get back soon or start some for Davis cause Lynch has way to much more to learn.

I guess lets just ignore that Lynch had the 7th fastest snap to throw of the week. If you are not going to watch the game then hard to really take your comments serious. Now yes Lynch held onto the ball too long at times but there were plenty of plays the OL was just down right terrible. The offense as a whole was just down right terrible in this one. Thankfully one bad game doesn't define a season or a player.

Question for you guys.

I guess I haven't watched too many Broncos home games lately, because I was surprised by something on Sunday. Watching Ryan audible at will against a hostile crowd that at least has the reputation of being smart and loud.

What's the deal with the crowd noise or lack thereof in Denver?

Also, was Sambraillo hurt yesterday?

We will get better from this loss but I think Siemian is the better option for us right now. Hopefully this loss lights a fire under Lynch's butt. This is the NFL and you gotta work every day to get better or your career will be done quickly. Feels very much like that Raider's loss last year (right side of oline shitting the bed and the defense JUST not good enough to stop them (especially our LBs in man coverage. Yuck to that, but hats off to ATL for using some of their best players to exploit us in space. Better clean that up because you know that's what the pats are going to do with their RBS and TEs as well.. yuck...). Gotta get better and we will. Thursday is a must win with how the Raiders are playing.

Sambrailo is either hurt (likely) or because he has been hurt for so long (offseason, most of last year, etc) he does not have proper strength right now or technique because hasn't been able to develop. (also probable). One thing is sure, he isn't ready right now... I won't judge him till next season though, needs a healthy offseason before we see who he is. Patience for me as a fan, kinda like how we were with schofield.

That's what the announcers were speculating on. Any thoughts on the noise question?

Well from what I understand the crowd noise has been some of the best it has been since we got the new stadium. The issue with yesterday is most likely the Falcons just took the crowd out of it. When a road team can get an early lead, run the football with some success, and the offense just doesn't do much to get the crowd excited yeah it makes sense that he could actually communicate a little better. I wouldn't read too much into it though as the Falcons had to burn through some early timeouts and I would put some of that on the crowd noise. I think every team that has come in has gone through 2 times outs in the 1st and 3rd quarter because they couldn't communicate except the Falcons yesterday. Got to give the crowd something to cheer about.

I guess so. Just seemed that in the second half, the game was still winnable for Denver, and if the crowd can't do their part to help the home (undefeated) team pull out a victory, there should be shamefaced fans...

And not talking late 4th where there simply wasn't enough time/drives to get a win, but earlier on in the second half when the deficit was still smaller.

It just stuck out for me, listening to Ryan audible out of plays, I was glad he won't be able to do that next week in Seattle.

Well my guess is if they do the exact same thing in Seattle it will take the crowd out of it a bit. I'm guessing it was still loud just not as loud as it could be.
