Offense just not looking good today. The line is struggling. It's a shame, too because the defense has looked solid enough for the team to win. I'm not sure if the Falcons defense is just having an unusually good day or if our offense is just having a little setback this week, substituting Lynch for Siemian and all.

Atlanta is exposing our lb'ers on defense. They don't even have any lb'ers, yet we can't expose shit

Sambrillo is not good
Oline is getting abused with a 4 man rush and our Lbers cant cover speedy rbs out of the backfield
And lattimer keeps taking it out of the end zone and we lose 7-8 yards on every drive

I'm not given to panic just because our rookie doesn't look good on his first start.

Who was wishing injury on Siemian?
Nobody butt head but to many were finding things to bitch on about Siemian and his play and drooling for Lynch to play while Denver Sat 4-0. Where you been ?

It's pretty clear the Broncos have conceded defeat in this game with as passively as they are playing now. Not really seeing a sense of urgency between plays. It's 23-6 and they need 3 scores. That's a tall order and the team appears to know it and appears to be going through the motions at this point.

Broncos 4-1. Lynch has a bright future with this team, but today he and our O-line helped the Falcons bottom-tier defense look like world beaters. FWIW, I nailed the Falcons score, but took for granted our offense, even with Lynch, would be able to move the ball on that Falcons defense. Missed an opportunity with this one, but a 4-1 start for the team with the "worst QB situation in the league" is a good start.

LOL. Browns fans will argue that. Even Bear fans.

The Pats were in the same position last week. Garopollo hurt, Brissett hurt and some one had to play. This week Lynch had to play. Some people will say he wasn't ready, others will say the team let him down, primarily the offensive line. Thing is, you have to do is give credit to the Falcons coaching staff. They put together the perfect game plan to defeat the Broncos. It's not the end of the world.

Now the Broncos have to get their act together because they have a game in 4-1/2 days against the Chargers. I wouldn't take them too lightly , I doubt Kubiak will either .

I say it tongue in cheek. Before the season started a few different media outlets ranked the Broncos QB situation worst in the league. Worse than Cleveland, even.

Any word on how long Siemian is out? Sounds like he has the same injury as Garoppolo.

Certainly. They came in depleted and still managed a great effort on defense. BY FAR their best performance on defense, which is a bit of an embarrassment to the Broncos offense. But there's not even enough time for the Broncos to lick their wounds. They are on the road against the Chargers next. The Chargers are battling despite a 1-3 record (down 34-31 @ Raiders but driving as I write). It won't be an easy game later this week.

Trevor was basically a rookie on his first start and there was no shortage of whining then and they won ! No matter what Trevors done to this point, you got the Lynch comments from those that scoffed at Trevor being the starter and just can't stand to admit they missed it on " both " so far. I sure hope our

Atlanta has a very explosive offense.Still aside from their RB Coleman who gained 137 receiving yrs vs our nice Lb tandem, the Broncos D held Ryan and Julio and the other wrs in ck. Their D isn't that great. A healthy Trevor would have won this game. Lynch played terrible but it did not surprise me. The whole offense was off sink and I'll bet my life by 2nd qtr the offensive huddle didn't see the calm and poise that Trevor has in Lynchs eyes and that effects the confidence for that offense. I didn't even have to see game and know Lynch held ball too long, panicked on his progressions, etc, and etc and etc. If Trevor can't play for at least two more weeks, Denver will have to go Davis as Qb and quite possibly as early as sometime in this Thursday game. He's not ready. They had to put him in shotgun for most of 2nd half because he looked out of his element behind center. Time to start those prayers for Trevor to get back soon or start some for Davis cause Lynch has way to much more to learn.

Randy, I've seen your dispute with CD and won't get drawn into a similar debate with you. It's a non-sequitor because I've been a Siemian supporter all along. I consider Lynch the future of this team, but I have been behind Siemian since he was named starter. You won't find a single call for Lynch from me, even after Siemian was injured, save for the fact I don't want to see an injured player with a shoulder injury playing QB for our team.

Atlanta's explosive offense wasn't the problem. Our defense played well enough to win the game. I do think Siemian, had he been fully healthy likely leads the team to a win. We can only speculate though, not definitively prove. As for going to Davis, I adamantly disagree. Invest in the team's future. Davis is a backup to our backup. As far as third string QBs go, he's as solid as exists in the league. But Lynch is the future of this team whether you like it or not. Not every start is going to be his first start. I think he gets this start against the Chargers and the Broncos will be on a long break before their week 7 MNF game with the Texans. I think Siemian should be ready by then. Hopefully so.

In the mean time, I'll continue to focus on what makes the regulars to this board alike rather than what makes us different. If you want to focus on differences with other Broncos fans on this board, that's fine but leave me out of it. I root for the name on the front of the jersey, not the back.

Go Broncos!

A healthy Trevor would have won this game.

A healthy Garoppolo would have won against the Bills.

C'mon Randymon, we can't console ourselves with "what could have been if". The Falcons are playing like the Seattle Seahawks three years ago. Their coach is the designer of that defense and he's rebuilding the Falcons in the same mold. He's pretty close, no where near the talent he had in Seattle, but his team is playing hard and every win adds confidence.

I think the Broncos will recover. Problem is that they have a short week and have to play away.

I agree with everything but the Falcons playing like the Seahawks.

Way different teams, one built around defense and ball control, the other based around offense. Yes, they played much better on D today, but they've had the worst D in the NFL going into today's game.

I know where about 8 of our 11 picks should be allocated to next year. ILBer and Oline. Maybe Zaire is the answer who knows.
